I hate how they made Karen this episode as well. I liked her in the earlier episodes, but this episode just overshadowed all others and made me dislike it. I'm HOPING it's just a temporary plot device for the finale and that they'll bring her back to normal for the next season, if there is one.

From what I read about the show, the first episode is the same, but from there they start diverting the show. I didn't have a chance to check out the UK one yet myself though, so I can't say for sure.

Also, a lot of people seem to think it meant she was getting knocked up when the bottle exploded in slow-mo. I didn't get that idea at all, I just seen it as them both having an "explosive orgasm" or some shit. Might be wrong, I just did not get the idea that meant she was getting prego.

Summed up nicely. After all of the amazing content from the first 11 episodes, the finale was meh at best. Lips boss moment was epic though.

I was really hoping someone would kill Frank, I fucking hate his character. It didn't make sense to me why Karen's dad would run around trying to kill him all night, then just give up in the morning and kill himself instead. I mean, he fucking knows where Frank lives for fuck's sake.

I agree completely. What the fuck was that. I'm guessing maybe he didn't have it in himself to kill another human being? I mean he was a devoted catholic? The finale kind of sucked. I don't know, it just felt kind of "meh". I'd chart out the season 1 by going from good -> great -> sort of "meh" -> "meh"

Karens dad ended up killing himself because he couldnt live with the shame of what his daughter had done once everyone he worked with found out about it. Its one thing if you know about something but when everyone you know also knows about it... it becomes a much larger issue.

I also agree that someone needs to kill Frank. I cant understand why his family doesn't kick him out of their lives. The show would NOT be the same without him but realistically do people really put up with shit like this from family members? I wish Lip had at least Hospitalized him or something. I'm glad he kicked the shit out of him at least.
