Final Fantasy XV: Cup Noodle XV Special Edition

These are questions we simply don't know the answer to right now. Although something tells me it won't be as big as Xenoblade even if its fully open world.

I've seen estimates that you could fit Witcher 3 into Xenoblade Chronicles X three times, and Fallout 4 could fit 5 times. That FF15 map, is about 6-7ish times bigger than XBC X is, which is just about as ridiculous a map size you can have.

XBC X gets to feel pretty small though, once you have explored it all, as there are fast-travel spots all over. If FF15 doesn't have this, then the entire game is going to be just moving around, which takes the Road trip theme a bit too far, IMO.

I hope the idea of the road trip is that you will get a fair number of fast travel spots which are generally samey, but also small points of interest and quests here and there which are totally optional but likely benefit you (as they usually will) with equipment or something special. And if you do choose to do those you could probably burn away a lot of time getting them done.

Of course, for most players optional quests aren't actually optional.

I would also like to point out that in that image, the slightly purple-ish water area is the town of Altissia, which is supposedly a large explorable city with waterways. And the battle with Leviathan seen in this video:

Which also helps to give a sense of scale when compared to the world map shown in the image above.

If that supposedly fully-explorable town - with a giant battle spanning the entire city against Leviathan - which incidentally is only a mere fraction of the entire map, is NOT enough to get you hyped about not only the game itself, but the scale of the game itself, I'm not sure what to say :/

Edit: Assuming the comparison with GTAV is accurate, it seems that Altissia is roughly 1/4 to 1/5 the size of the main city in GTAV, or all of the main city of GTAV if you consider Altissa the entire purple glob.

In b4 Luna's "absence" is really her death that begins the games events and Noctis runs into her from beyond the grave at the end, starting the story that would eventually have been the original Versus XIII.

Aerith's death had an impact because we had no fucking clue it was gonna happen when we bought the game, the game itself did a good job at hiding the possibility of this happening and it happened early in the game so it was a huge loss in terms of gameplay as well. If you tell us something's supposed to make us cry at the end it just won't work!

The back of the box sort of spoils it if anyone paid any attention to it. Not sure if that's the EU or US box though.

But we don't know how it'll be sad at the moment unless a trailer reveals it.

For all we know, we're just gonna guide Noctis to the final dungeon (that city where the blonde lady is (forgive me I didn't note down any other names)) and we beat down the final boss and then they tell us she's in another castle. The sad part would be the cliffhanger and all the time we spent grinding to get there followed by "FFXV-2 Summer 2017"

Bullshit lol. Cloud dropping Aeris' corpse into a lake was plastered all over magazines. Even commercials for the game used to spam the CG scenes with no actual in-game graphics. Mind you I was still surprised Aeris died, but I vividly remember expecting something serious to happen to her because EGM/Gamepro and TV.
