Maybe refresh or revitalize is the word you were looking for, but revive? Final Fantasy is far from being dead or dormant.

Final Fantasy is in the interesting and almost unique position wherein it keeps its zombie corpse relevant through pure nostalgia, and repackaging that nostalgia over and over. You can definitely revive a zombie if you know the right kind of voodoo, Warm Bodies told me so D:

The best thing about 15 is that maybe with news teams moving forward we might get a medieval/fantasy game again.
No you're right, I shouldn't have called it dead. FF tho hasn't been as famous as it was in the Squaresoft days. It was hard then to find someone who played the games and didn't like them.
>_> the only "non-high fantasy" games are 7,8,10,13..... 12 is halfsies? 11 & 14 are as fantasy as fantasy gets. If they do do one I hope they go balls deep like they did with 9. Actually I just want a really good game ._.
As much as I personally enjoy the middle ground tech/fantasy settings like 6, X, and the Ivalice titles, I really just want a ff game with the storyline and narrative values of 4, 6, and Tactics. I don't care if it isn't 4k 120fps, just make something engrossing.

PC port could take a year plus to develop, "if" they were going to do it.
Translation : We want you to buy it twice.

"The wait for Final Fantasy XV is almost over..."
I've heard this before...

It should say release day delivery under the item if you will.
Robbie Daymond just came off as "Oh yeah, blow on NES carts, do I have street cred yet?" while Darin DePaul genuinely feels like this is an honor. Thats a shame too, because Daymond did a great job with Sorey in Tales of Zestiria and his work in Type-0 was good too.
I actually like fake Stella's real voice more than her in game voice. Why didn't they just have her talk into a mic, it fits her character a lot better imho.
It's been said already, but I do miss the days when games would get a trailer for major conventions, a few preview-articles here and there and then they'd just be released. Are there any figures on SE's marketing expenses yet?
Either way, I'm looking forward to the interview with the production studio's janitor we're bound to get eventually.
Not sure if it will be more than XIV's development cycle as a whole. Meaning development of 1.0 engine, marketing, release, the tanking of, simultaneously developing reborn, new engine, re-marketing, etc. I think that game almost sunk their ship.
Probably comparable though.
