After a decade's wait you deserve to play at optimal settings. Reddit has mentioned PS4 trade-ins netting $279 credit. The 4k HDR tv is another story. Best Buy has a 40" Samsung for $299.

I'm assuming you're talking about the KU7000, considering its the only 40" 4k TV on the market. HDR is not that good on that TV, though it's generally quite good across the board aside from that.

That said, it's also the smallest 4k TV on the market, which if that's your goal (which was the case for using it as my bedroom TV) it's fucking baller.

I'll have to check my local Gamestop. Don't much mind upgrading if it's only going to be $120. I assumed it woulda dropped quickly to the $100ish range, but maybe they're offering a decent amount to just push more Pros?

Edit: Yeah, any update on where people are getting $279 credit for a base PS4? Gamestop's site spits out $125 credit estimate. Best I'm seeing is through Amazon, quoted $154.84 gift card.
