Pre-ordered my copy through Amazon. It was sitting in Illinois at 4am this morning. Which would be great, if I was anywhere near Illinois. I'm in the Kansas City metro area. Amazon still says it's supposed to be here by 8pm, but UPS says tomorrow on UPS tracking. I also had it shipped to my work that stops accepting packages at 5pm. I'm not getting it today. It's not a huge deal, but I was hoping to play it tonight. Guess I should've went digital.

I did, i clicked redeem codes more than once -.- because when i clicked nothing happened, and i got 6 emails of codes. none of them work.

yeah, the last email should have been active, but none of them work lol. It seriously should have became unclickable after 1 clicked or reloaded the webpage or something… Oh well i didn't preorder from amazon anyway someone was nice enough to PM me an extra code they got, i feel bad now though it could have gone to someone else who had more patience, guess thats what i get for trying to cheat SE lol.

I cannot stop fishing, send halp. Also, pressing L3 to stop sprinting right as the stamina gauge depletes will instantly fill it to full; everyone should know this given how long it takes to run around some spots. Didn't see it explained anywhere.

Lots of reports on gamefaqs and Twitter from people that blasted through the game and on saying the main story is only 20 hours. This assumes you watch all cutscenes but skip all side content.
Yeah I know lolgamefaqs but there's enough people confirming that it may in fact be legit.

I would but i don't have an order to reference because someone gave me there extra code from their preorder, so i doubt amazon will do anything for me. I did send an email to square. Theres also a thread on reddit about this lol a ton of people have done the same thing i did.

10 hours in and having a ton of fun :D only gripe, and it's minor, is some of the sidequests, but those are standard fare for them being tedious lol

Yeah, it's the classic "rush through the game with zero non-mandatory content so you can shitpost about how short the game is" concept. RPGs are always vulnerable to this tactic because somehow even 20 hours is considered unacceptably short.

Sounds about right. Speedrunning a game doesn't give a proper time of the main story for most people.

FFIX can be completed in under 12 hours if you rush through it (even less with glitches) so....

The 30min is just a part of the game downloaded so you can start playing. There are parts you wont be able to do until the full game is downloaded
