Just a handy tip, Chapter 8 is the last chapter before things go linear. So you can do all but the last part of chapter 8 and explore Lucis before moving on. It also unlocks a hoard of sidequests.

I know I was kinda anxious that I might be going through the MSQ a little too fast but they give you breathing room before you're stuck in the second half. Even then I think there's actually a way to go back to Lucis.

There is a way to go back to finish old content, I'm not sure at what point it unlocks tho. But there is effectively no miss able content in this game.

The way to go back unlocks very early in chapter 8, and with minor exceptions you can return in all of the chapters.

I just run around until I hear croaking then look around the immediate area. After figuring that out it took like 2 mins.

L3 toggles it on until your stamina runs out; hit L3 again when it is nearly depleted to fully recharge it with a green pseudo-blink animation.

And I do a mix of driving and fast travel. If I'm returning an item to Dino in Galdin Quay from the NW side of the map, I'm absolutely fast traveling. It's the difference between getting 12 quests done in an hour vs 6.

And Krandor, you need to ease off the salt sir.

I'm happy it sold well, so maybe we'll see FF16? But its not the best game thats for sure i definitely don't care for the voice work. I haven't gotten past chapter one and only 11 hours in doing side quests and junk, just unlocked the area from duscae demo. The lighting in the starting area is terrible, and lighting on some NPC faces makes some of them haunting to look at, why does everyones teeth have their own light source? Also hate how absolute no scenes so far have had lip syncing.

I am absolutely in love with the game. Very happy so far. Combat is giving me some issue picking it up but when i can pull it off its one of the most fun systems I've played with.

I am haveing issues with the car system and load system when instantly porting to points. the load times are ugh... the only gripe with the car system i have is the bullshit of night deamons stoping you from going on further with the car. That concept is pure shit.

I love the night time daemons and shit attacking you constantly. Really puts that element of fear and worry into FF games that haven't been present since like...12.

Also learned that you can maintain lock-on by pressing R3 after locking on, which was one of the things that pissed me off.

So I noticed last night, while driving Galdio will sometimes hand Ignis a cup of water, who will take a drink, pull out a cup holder and place the cup in it... who programs details like that?

Have hit the one true grind for the game now. Sleeping at Cape Caem over and over again waiting for Cid to finishing upgrade weapons. With stops by the garden to plant carrots between naps.
