Hyperion Cross
Yes, but have you heard? Iggy came up with a new recipeh.
So I finished the game just before the end of the year. About 144 hours, level 99, nearly maxed out the ascension grid (not finished recovery or exploration). Had pretty much done all the available hunts except for Adamantoise and I think all available quests (except for the hapless hunters one - I had like 20 left to do, couldn't be arsed lol). Has anyone here found all the fish and recipes yet?

Besides the DLC that's been announced without schedule, and them saying they would add new hunts and stuff over time, is there anything announced or leaked to look forward to?

I cannot un-see it now.
(work browser/connect being crap, can't upload image)
Can see it kinda aswell but first person i thought of was Keanu as John Wick.
I watched Jesse Cox play the game on Twitch and when older Noctis appeared, chat said he looked like Crendor, which I can totally see lol.
Watched that video...a lot of that is bonkers.
Finally completed the game...
Not sure why everyone is complaining about battles in tight corridors and forced stealth at the end of the game. I experienced none of that.
Sure - You CAN choose to use stealth. Personally I just killed everything. As for the small corridor fights, I never experienced any strange camera angles, nor corridors with plenty of monsters.
The worst I experienced was that big room in Costlemark where I encountered god knows how many imps and flans, together with 3 red giants and a naga. God that was painful. Much, much harder than the boss itself that I killed easily.
I do fully understand the complaints about the story though. It certainly felt like a lot of content was cut. The majority of the actual story was condensed into the last 3 or so chapters of the game, they certainly could have worked a bit more on that. Overall though, I enjoyed the game. I hope the DLC delve more into the lore.
Edit: I do have one question though. WTF happened to Carbuncle? Weren't we supposed to get him after completing the Platinum demo?
Spoiler: show
He does show up as a random healer in Easy mode apparently. Other than that his only involvement seems to be the training room and randomly showing up in Prompto's photos.
Speaking of Prompto is there anyway to get him to shut the hell up permanently? Only on chapter 8 and I'm beyond tired of his constant whining about being tired and questions about his horrible photography skills.
On easy mode, Carbuncle shows up every time your party wipes, fully healing and buffing the party, essentially making it impossible to game over. That being said, easy mode so it makes sense

Nah, man. Prompto also too busy making stupid ass selfies for all those chapters like it's a big fuckin fun party while you just heard 2 hours into the game that your dad died (or should I spoiler Kingsglaive stuff?) Combined with the stupid, completely not lore or plot related, fetch quests you get (early) in the game I seriously think this game would have been better off if it started linear, because from a plot point of view this is beyond stupid to me. Does this imply I think the second half (past chapter8) should be open? I don't know, I still couldn't be arsed to re-do that boring dungeon(+some random crap before it) from my last post where SE didn't do shit with "saving checkpoint" and I'd have to backtrack 90mins.
Finally completed last stuff, Menace Beneath Lucis secret dungeons.
It's a bit odd. I've seen people stream their gameplay, and for the most part, it's completely different than how I did it. For the final dungeon, the no items one, I just farmed 20 of Flare/Freeze/Electon for when needed, ate the thing that makes you take no damage from elemental attacks, Ribbons as needed, and just targetted weapon/magic weakness. For stuff that survived limit break magic, I just kited until it was ready again. :3 It was fun, but more about the investing the time to prep for it, than difficulty.
Also very odd how they put so many great items in there, when there's nothing to use them on after lol.
