Honestly, I don't mind them lookin' older if anything. It's almost refreshing. Although Japan's favoritism for young protagonists is why we ended up with Vaan and Penelo (which is probably why they seem so tacked on like an afterthought, but that's another story).

Although yes, a good lady party member would be a bit nice. I'm sure there'll be more people to party with at some point anyway.

There's going to be a chick in the game, because FF titles have had the "obligatory spunky young girl" trope going since FFV.

Rydia doesn't count because she was HARDLY spunky... you know with the whole "the sweeping majority of my people were systematically and brutally murdered by Baron" thing as a backdrop.

Damn. Looking back on it, its a good thing she didn't exist in the Nomura era. She'd have probably had Anima as her main summon, wore all black, and had zipper tattoos everywhere.

And yeah, for sure there'll be a female party member(s) at some point. Although, FFX-2 was an all girl party... but I guess there was kind of a story reason for that. Sort of.

This could be the male, guy version of that. Except better most likely, haha.

Japan has the strangest obsession with having every action-based anime series have something to do with eyes. I expect no less here.

I don't know about action combat, hopefully it will bring in a bunch of people who think FF is terrible because of the terrible combat systems in all of the other games and that'll sell better than catering to the aforementioned crowd. If it doesn't, then the difficulty of performing/playing will definitely be a big factor because FF homies need their turn base.
