How was Final Fantasy XV harder in Japan compared to the Western audience? Did we get the same game or is this just an opinion of the people.


Personally I felt without the food buff and running around at night you'd get bufu'd more often than I expected with . With the food buff though you felt like a God.

Same version. People there just thought it was harder.

Most of those changes are for the better yet you think we're getting the worse version? We usually get the better product in the end and that rarely has an actual effect on difficulty. And if you think this is even remotely the case for XV (or hell, recently) then you're hugely mistaken.

A lot weren't "for the better"...let's be real, depending on gaming generation it definitely is putting on training wheels. Look at "the white tanooki suit" mechanic devs are putting in now, even indie devs. So while it is optional in some games (like where it originated) do you really think stuff like that is done purely for "quality of life"?

I don't think that accounts for JPs thinking the game was too hard and NAs thinking it was too easy across the board.

It's mostly the ones I've been reading on some boards saying it feels too sluggish making it harder to play. I don't know overall, but just a few discussions I've seen crop up on 2ch.

I don't see how fixing bugs or changing things to be less annoying (so less frustrating, tiring and difficult) isn't for the better. What you're talking about is just that games are getting easier and more accessible overall which has nothing to do with whether shit gets fixed or not. And the Golden Tanooki thing is silly because that's completely optional and is never ever forced on you. Yeah there are some mechanics that help you if you're having trouble, but if they're optional then how can you not consider them QoL?

When they introduced Luna (moon) I figured she was the replacement for Stella (star).

Stella is gone
No FF15 presence at E3 at all (not even a trailer).
