I suppose that's true. If they had Lance Bass voice Sephiroth, they could bring in Olivia. Seriously though, I actually enjoy looking at the voice actor list for these games. They have some amazing talent come in to reprise roles. It's not the most major detail, but stuff like that really makes me enjoy this series all the more.

Kingdom Hearts 3D English Recording Underway, Some Actors Already Done
In December, Square Enix announced a 2012 release for Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance in North America and Europe, but didn’t say when or how far along they were in the localization process.

Reports this week indicate that English voice-recording sessions for Kingdom Hearts 3D are well underway, with some of the cast already having wrapped up their work on the game. KHInsider report that Vincent Corazza, who reprises his role as Zexion in the game, is done with recording.

Additionally, Jesse David Corti, the voice-actor who played Neku in The World Ends With You, is recording for the same character for Kingdom Hearts 3D as well. A week ago, Corti revealed over Twitter that was “about finished” with recording his lines.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Tron World Named "The Grid"
We've known since December that Kingdom Hearts 3D would have elements from Tron Legacy. This week's Jump finally provides specifics.

Tale Source, which has access to Jump in advance, reports that the Tron world is called, as one might expect, "The Grid." Kevin Flynn, Sam Flynn and Quorra are shown in screenshots.

The magazine also has details on a new gameplay component involving the Dream Eater creatures. You can create new Dream Eaters by gathering materials called "Dream Pieces" and combining these according to a recipe.

As always, Jump just provides the basics. We can probably expect a closer look at these two areas either this week or next week.

    bring it on

    http://kotaku.com/5888408/looks-like...t-in-late-july

Looks Like Kingdom Hearts 3D Comes West in Late July
Square-Enix's official French store briefly listed Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream, Drop, Distance for release on July 27 before the company pulled back the listing and replaced it with "Summer 2012." Either way, it's a more precise release window than what we'd heard before.

Square may be pulling back the Western release date just to give itself some wiggle room in case problems arise with shipping the game. Europe typically sees Friday releases, which July 27 is; that could mean Kingdom Hearts 3D hits North America on July 24.

The game arrives on March 29 in Japan.

Sorry, where did everyone hear that BBS2 has been confirmed? I can't seem to find official talk of it anywhere.

Sora Was Supposed To Revisit Tron From Kingdom Hearts II And Other KH3D Tidbits
Tidbits about Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] are coming out thanks to an interview from Famitsu. The game’s tagline is "the light within the darkness and the light that falls into darkness" and "those that sleep with sorrow within" is another key phrase the magazine mentions. Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] follows Sora and Riku as they take the Mark of Mastery exam.

The Grid, a world based on the film Tron Legacy, is one of the new areas in the game. At first, the Kingdom Hearts team planned for Sora to visit the original Tron world from Kingdom Hearts II and Riku would go into the Tron Legacy world. Both characters will visit The Grid in the final game. Since Donald and Goofy do not use keyblades you won’t be able to play with them in Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance].

Dream Eaters are your companions in this game and there are more than 50 types. Famitsu also confirms Dream Eaters like Wonder Nyan can evolve too. In the interview, the team (Nomura?) says the game’s length is about 35 hours, more if you play the mini-games.

Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] comes out on March 29.

    >_> Is every branch from the series going to have it's own trilogy that won't explain anything? When the hell are we going to go back to the main story, all this side stuff is nice but, it just keeps adding confusion to the storyline and doesn't close up anything. Feels like they're milking this harder than they are FFXI and FFXIV, so hard that it stopped producing milk and they grabbed the dick and started feeding people cow sperm.

    Curious if we'll see a KH3 by 2020.

I assume all these side games are because Nomura is stuck working on Versus. I recall him saying he won't even start on KH3 until Versus is done.

I've heard that a lot as well. Honestly, I'm okay with it for now, BBS was pretty fun and 358/2, while a little awkward to play on a DS, I did like it too. And KH3D looks pretty enjoyable form the previews. As long as KH3 comes out on PS3 I'll be content. If it skips a generation system wise, or releases on the Wii or something, than I'll be pissed

I don't mind seeing new stuff, but I swear I feel like puking whenever I see recycled material from the previous games.
Just look at that trailer - was that scene with Roxas from 358/2 days really necessary? And what's with obsession with KH1 Sora and Riku? Isn't this game supposed to take place after KH2? Why wouldn't they use those models?

Memory restrictions probably, how much of a game can you really fit on a 16GB SD card with 3D effects on everything that bounces out? Probably means less models overall.

Kingdom Hearts series director, Tetsuya Nomura, has more to say about the game’s story. Speaking with Famitsu magazine, Nomura discusses the game’s key characters and teases what we can look forward to seeing resolved at the end of the game.

“If I had to say who the key persons were, I’d say they are the silver haired boy and Axel,” Nomura shares. “This time at the end of the story, there will be the longest cutscene of the whole series where the true form of Ansem and Xemnas, as well as their goals and many other truths will be revealed all at once.”

Nomura also talks about the game’s new Ability Link and Dream Eater systems.

“At first, I initially wanted to develop another form of the command board from Birth by Sleep,” Nomura reveals. “Then I mixed the growth systems of Re:Coded and 358/2 Days and came up with a new idea that became the Ability Link feature.”

According to Nomura, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance will take about 35 hours to complete. The game is slated for release on March 29th.
