Months ago StarCraft II modder Ryan Winzen released a video of his StarCraft II MMO mod "World of StarCraft," which, while impressive, attracted the ire of Blizzard's lawyers due to concerns over the use of the mod's name and code.
The issue was eventually resolved and Winzen pushed forward with the project under the new name "StarCraft Universe," and today he's released the first alpha gameplay trailer of the mod, showing significant improvement.
Looks like these guys are well on their way to make a MMO using the SC2 tools.
Here is a raid boss
Kotaku has posted an article about it.

It's a little too hard to see what's going on in the 'raid' encounter since all the spell effects are translucent blue glows. Looks fun either way.
in-fucking-credible
pretty awesome what you can do with their staredit software o:
Thats just fucking amazing. That boss fight looks epic as hell, far better than any real boss i've seen in any real MMO i've ever played. Same goes for the boss fight with the uberlisk latched on to the space platform, just incredible looking. Cannot believe the best looking mmo boss fights i've seen in the past years comes from a community mod. wow.
Inbefore Blizzard buys the fuck out of them
Holy shit, that trailer. It even has a built in dps meter at the bottom right, lol.
I would be very surprised if they don't get headhunted by a company at this point. Extremely impressed by how professional it looks.
Dustin Browder invited them to Blizzcon so he can play their mod. They're not shutting them down, if anything they're going to invest resources into it.
