I know a few people went to Coachella last year, so with the lineup being released today (and its a doozy) who's planning to be heading out to the desert again this year?

i want to go (every year) but i don't know if i'll make it yet... DFA1979 back together is pretty god damn awesome though. and duran duran. and big audio dynamite. arcade fire & the black keys i saw a combined total of 9x the past year, and i'd still love to see them again... already have interpol tickets for next month, and a few other bands on there i've seen recently. looks like a really fun weekend though. never got to catch animal collective or one day as a lion before though, so that'd be pretty great...

Kanye? Really? Meh his beats is good I just don't like him. Day 3 has the best lineup IMO.

I wonder how much of each pass is going to Lauren Hill? She currently is doing her "revival" tour and ticket prices are averaging $55 with her being the only act.

Hey, I'm all for Kings of Leon headlining...it means i get to beat the traffic out by a solid hour!

DFA1979 was enough to sell me (if i hadn't already gotten tickets), Arcade Fire, Magnetic Man, The Radio Dept. The National, The Strokes ect just make it so much better. This is probably going to be my roughest year yet in terms of deciding who I'm going to see.

Coachella Sells Out In Record Time

When it comes to the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, the old saying about how “If you snooze, you lose,” certainly applies. The three-day music celebration experienced its fastest sell-out in its 12-year history.

This year’s Coachella festival, scheduled for April 15-17 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., includes headliners Arcade Fire, Kanye West and Kings Of Leon. Other acts include Duran Duran, The Chemical Brothers, Big Audio Dynamite, The National and P.J. Harvey

Saying he was “still a little stunned” Paul Tollett of Los Angeles-based Goldenvoice, which created the festival, told the Desert Sun newspaper that the festival had sold 51,000 tickets by Monday, three days after the ducats went on sale. Compare that to only 11,000 sold during last year’s first weekend of ticket sales and you can appreciate just how doggone fast fans scarfed up tickets for this year’s shindig.

Tollett told the newspaper that even though his company was granted an Indio city permit for 75,000 people per day, the plan for this year was to sell fewer tickets in order to cut down on the crowding. Tollett also said Goldenvoice had arranged for 10 acres around the grounds, resulting in a new festival entrance as well as more parking spaces.
