PSP - MAME Modding Question

Googling has left me unfulfilled, have any of you gotten MAME to work on some specific CFW? I've seen videos of it on youtube, but nothing much in terms of instructions.

It would be cool to have a portable version of D&D: Shadow over Mystara :O

as for getting it on there I only remember it being a headache,
slim and fat psp's use different converting programs for ROMs,
