i have some land id like to sell some of you

on a related note, hdmi cables are hdmi cables, shielding, better quality compontents, moon rocks, and baby laughs, none of these will make one cable perform better than another, digital signal either works or doesnt, there is no middle ground, older analog cables, ok MAYBE, but not to the point that monster cable wants you to believe

but i know the human condition, so as i said, i have some land for those of you who want to dispute me

That. We had a setup with a really long (25m) DVI cable and a bunch of adapter-mess to a projector in a seminar room and there was snow on the image at higher resolutions. After replacing the projector with another one not requiring adapters anymore, the picture was fine.

IMO, about $5 is a fair price for a 3-6 ft DVI or HDMI cable.
