I go to the front page and open up new tabs for all the forums I I frequent, then close it and open up new tabs for all the interesting looking threads on the first forum and then close that tab, and etc until I get to the actual threads.

Sometimes I'll click on the last active thread if it looks interesting enough.. like "BG: Bicycle legal". lol
