Eh. I thought Natalie Portman was just adequate in Black Swan. It's not like I can't imagine anyone else playing the role as well.

Sandra Bullock is so attractive. Although the whole 'hey, <name>, hey up here' she is doing with everyone is a bit less fun after the 5th time. Felt odd that she didn't do it with Jesse.

Leo DiCaprio not nominated. Christopher Nolan not nominated (for directing anyway). Hans Zimmer loses best score. Inception loses best picture.

    Fuck these Oscars.

I was shocked the King's Speech won so much. I downloaded it a few weeks(months?) ago and couldn't even justify spending the last hour watching it so I skipped around and was dumbfounded how this movie could have gotten such good reviews and be so boring. I'm usually unbiased when watching and always consider the targeted demographic, but did I miss something in this one? Do I need to re-watch?

Best documentary was as stacked as best picture this year. Restrepo, Exit Through The Gift Shop, and Inside Job were all fantastic. I'm so incredibly glad that The Social network didn't get the clean up job it got at the Globes. I thought that it was an incredibly overrated flick. Regarding director, Nolan was snubbed, again. They should just pencil him in as the best director for TDK Rises. I thought Portman was far from average in Black Swan. I loved that film, and loved her in it.

You missed Colin Firth putting on one of the best male lead roles in recent history. I loved the analogy used when someone was trying to describe how large of a favorite he was to win best actor. "If the Green Bay Packers were Colin Firth, and everyone else was a high school football team, and not even a very good one"

Corey Haim wasn't mentioned in the In memorandum yet I bet some Obscure polish assistant director of the second crew got mentioned.

I don't like The King's Speech for best picture... It wasn't enough story for me, and characters felt like cardboard cutouts.

I seem to remember that on the Red Carpet show before the awards started. Did you actually watch that? I caught it during a commercial of basketball where I also wasn't paying attention.
