Damn, The Social Network didn't get the major ones. One of my favourite films, that's how screenplay writing ought to be done. Shame Franco didn't get his ;x I got all the others ;o
So glad King's Speech won. I would have lost a bet and had to finally join Facebook after years and years of resistance. I declared KS as the winner this year as I was walking out of the theater last month so I was fairly confident in my bet.
I was really hoping that True Grit would win adapted screenplay. Every sentence of dialogue was so rich and tasty. I wished that I wrote that movie.
As for Exit Through the Gift Shop, I am happy that it lost. As I was watching the movie, I had the same feeling that I had when watching "Catfish." I wasn't watching a documentary, I was watching a mockumentary. Both movies started with the premise that "I'm just a regular guy who likes to film every mundane moment in my life." Then -surprise, surprise- some unexpected event happens in these people's lives and the camera is magically on to capture every amazing plot twist.
Only award I really cared about was original score and I'm glad social network won.
Everything else was pretty exepected.
