out of curiosity, and not to be inflammatory; I was in an EU linkshell for a while, and all of the brits in the shell had no problem kicking animals, hitting them, etc., for the purpose of discipline. it was pretty shocking. is that a common thing in britain? are animal cruelty laws less stringent?

Yeah, I fucking love my dog. She rarely does bad things, and even then you raise your voice and she guys to her bed to lay down with her ears pinned back lol. It's just kicking to me just seems like something a person would do when they are annoyed, not when they are trying to discipline something.
