If you think JD is overrated (whatever that means) - pick a cheaper whiskey that is better - saying "omg Knob Creek or Maker's Mark is better" is kind of a no-shit, but they're more expensive too.

(I'm not defending Jack Daniels [dollar for dollar I'd drink Jim Beam first] but the concept of "overrated" seems to escape people)

I'd say Jack Daniels is overrated too considering how many people I know only drink "jack & coke" and pay so much for this whiskey even though there is better shit out there.

I mentioned to my Scottish friend that I was drinking a Stella (I bought a 6-pack to try them out) and she lol'd at me. :[ It's definitely considered shit.

Especially because when I'm drinking something that's actually good, and one of my friends wants to try it then immediately spits it out because it's "disgusting" only to go over to his bud/coors/miller/PBR/whatever.

You must get ultra fresh Canadian then because it tastes like piss out West no matter where or when you get it. Also Keith's IPA is overrated and also pisses me off because when people who only know Keith's order a real IPA they get all pissy because it's too much flavour for them.

There's a Jack Astor's downtown on Front St that stores all their beer kegs in a giant walk-in freezer. It's always so cash, every time.

Creemore has problems elsewhere like you described. They don't pasteurize or preserve, so if, at any point, it warmed up between Caledon, Ont, and wherever the hell you are, the flavour band is going to be completely fucked. Which is a shame, because it's my runaway favourite here in toronto.

Not that I saw. I'd be curious to see what they think is a better lager. You can hate on lagers, I do, but I really don't see many lagers topping Stella, especially the macro ones. It tasted better in Belgium imo, though.

Carlsberg seemed like the Budweiser of Western Europe both times I went.
