    That said, I've had only one problem ever in wine. Ffxi. Everything else has run properly with the right tweaks to wine.

    i spilled wine on my keyboard once, but i played ffxi on my ps2 so i had no issues

    Exactly why it was not a problem. I honestly prefered playing on the ps2 for a loooong time.

The taskbar on the side was something I tried for the extra vertical space but aesthetically it's just way too fucked up for me to embrace.

    that's weird, I'd heard some anecdotal testimonies from the windower forums way, way back of it running perfectly in Wine, usually with higher FPS than a Windows install without the overhead.
