Hmm, I wonder what is going to be so drastically different in 6 months compared to now?
People have stopped caring about the game? Well, sherlock, that already happened. New MMO's won't also come out before Q3 the earliest as far as I know.

Hyan's right in that people have stopped caring about the game already. The ones sticking with it hardly count, they've already managed to hold on this long, even if they give up and leave they're likely to come back a few months later if it's noticeably improved.
Six months is what they should really be aiming for, not really delivering any solid "miracle" patches, but a steady stream of updates that improve usability and, ultimately, content. Then at that six month or so date the overall game has been improved to a point that they can market the hell out of it with all it's improvements for the PS3 version, have it reviewed again in a much better light, and release the PS3 version. By aiming ultimately for that goal, incrementally, instead of worrying about "delivering" in any single patch before then, they're capable of taking full advantage of the PS3 release and the ability to start charging for subs.
They want to cast that time as the turning point, build up to it like they're bringing a plot to it's climax, so that when they really deliver the final couple patches, start charging subs, and release the PS3 version along with a strong marketing campaign alongside it, Final Fantasy XIV can be looked at as if it were just releasing alongside the other new MMOs, rather than something shitty that took another year after it's release to fix.
Hopefully they fix SP for killing multiple mobs at once.
I know man... Thats such a cumbersome anti-grind mechanic. I feel it hurts the regular players more than the grind-hards and RMT.
Well, it's coming today or in a month. Either or:
In particular, I would very much like to continue incorporating player feedback into the adjustments being made to the claiming/engaging system, and finalize it it the near future.
Info is up.. Someone make a new thread.
