- Spells with Chaos in their name do additional damage with more Humanity. I think it caps at 10 but don't quote me on that
- The "S" rank INT modifier on a capped out Pyro flame only affects your R2 (i.e. the physical attack) with it equipped. Even with S scaling, it's an awful attack you should never use for anything but breaking hidden walls. The magic adjust (which is what affects your spell damage) is 270 with a capped flame regardless of your INT. For reference, the capped magic adjust on Sorcery Catalysts is (if I remember right) 245 for the regular catalyst and 315 for the crystal one that halfs all your spell uses
- Pyro spells generally have crap range. Much, much lower than INT based Sorcery. If you can't safely get within melee range of it, you usually can't fight it with Pyro (i.e. butterflies in crystal cave, the hydras, etc.). Anything you want to fight at long range, you'd have to fight with Sorcery/Miracles, Pyro wouldn't really work. Also, if you use a bow normally, keep in mind Bows have way more range than spells do and you can't aim spells at things you can't lock on to
- Chaos Great Fireball does about the same damage as regular Great Fireball on hit with 0 humanity. If the opponent stays still after being hit, the lava pool it creates does another hit for about 30% of the inital fireball damage. Seeing as it takes 2 slots it's usually better to equip something else if you're at 0 humanity. The lower level pyro spells like Fire Orb don't do that much less damage.
