Bed of Chaos... Now there's the brutal trial and error that Demon's Souls is known for. Took me two attempts just to figure out I was supposed to go inside the orange things. Then I found out that the floors will start collapsing on you and you will fall to your death. Wonder what will happen next!

Feeling MASSIVELY underpowered, Soul Rank 30. Just found some katana via suicide-jump spam, but it didnt help much. Any pointers up to this point?

I use scimitar +9 (SL 25) and usually it takes 4 hits to kill those smaller guys with weapons. You have upgraded your weapons right?

Dunno what people's problem with Blighttown is. The area is awesome. From the initial impression I thought the FPS would be much more horrible than it is. Either way, took it slow and made it to the bottom without dying.

I went left instead of right though

and ended up wandering around getting poisoned until my flasks ran out and I died. No biggie, second time went better and I made it to the bottom bonfire.

Anyway, now shit sucks. My weapon broke and there's no real shortcuts out of here from what I can see. I can use the Valley of Drakes/New Londo entrance I guess.

I feel like I could do a bit more damage to Queelag since the fight seems to last forever. Its pretty easy though, just need to beware not to walk into the lava pits.

One of the few complaints I have about this game is how fucking ugly it is. From gaping dragon to monsters dropping dung pies, and to the character herself. I can't wear the ninja assassin armor I found in the blighttown without being disgusted. Fortunately humanity is easy to acquire.

I got you on that one :3 When you enter, there'll be all that fire and shit, cautiously walk forward, until you're just outside of his swipe range (you'll know, because he'll try to swipe and miss.). I would wait for a second swipe, then you sprint towards him and the right diagonally (Your characters right). You don't want to go on a straight line from the middle, cuz if you jump you'll miss the stupid tree branch thing you need to land on. Once the ground starts caving, you make the jump to land on the branch, from there his swipes dont hit you, and you just have to run up and inside.

Probably take you a few tries to get it (it took me a bit to realize how far to the right from the center I had to run to make that jump, but after that it's pretty pie.

Yeah I got him beat, though I think it was thanks to luck. Blocked his 1st two swipes, jumped, and then his other hand hit me, but it hit me down and I landed on the tree path.

Who do I give the Large Flame Ember and Chaos Flame Ember to? Pretty sure I remember talking to the guy near the forest, the giant in andor and the prisoner in lando. Did I miss a smith?


also!: just went into Londo, was near the bridge and got attacked by an npc looking guy with blue-ish armor and red shield. I killed him pretty easily but he didn't drop anything. Was that the starting NPC who was sitting near the firelink bonfire? Why did he attack me D:

Im so far in the game but all I want to do is start over as a pyro so I can be level 1 and have more control over my early level stats. does that even make sense?

Finally got time to put a few hours into this, hate myself for not being able to play it. God I feel like I fucked up somewhere. Just made it to Blighttown, using a Long Sword/Winged Spear. Purposefully ignored Drake Sword because I got spoilered in this motherfucker, and decided to save it for NG+. Didnt wanna spoil the first playthrough with shit i didnt figure out on my own. Other than that I've been using the best shit i've come across. I backstab those Giant guys right at the beginning of Blighttown for 100, and it takes maybe 7-10 to kill them. Those jumpy things after them take maybe 3 full stamina bars to kill each. Then I got hit with some darts and died to raping poison. Summon somebody, dude backstabs for like 467 before falling off a cliff on accident and i just facepalm.

That katana is pretty great. i suggest upgrading the bejesus out of it.

Wow Stray Demon was easy... I literally only got hit once and that was when he body slammed, he landed, so I went around his back, but I went through his stationary weapon and it hurt me.

Not quite true. You can zerg your way through New Londo first thing after you get the Abyss walker's ring, and join the covenent, then later give it to Frampt.

I made this mistake, if you join the Darkwraiths and still give the Lordvessel to Frampt, the serpent in the Abyss still disappears.

Of course he does, but you've already joined the covenant and gotten the trophy then spent 30 humanity and got the armor and weapon, RIGHT?

Also: Are there any respawning mimics?

Ok homing crystal soulmass is just sick. Nearly 1500 dmg with 5 charges, and they're homing missles

If you gave the Lordvessel to Frampt and put it in Firelink Shrine, then no. You cannot join the Darkwraiths.
