Farm the souvies in the painted world from she-birds. Roughly 2/30min with 410 item discovery

Farmed these fuckers for what felt like an eternity. Then I get to 9/10 and I can't get another one to drop for the life of me. When I'm about to give up for the night and do something else, the last group drops two, putting me at 11/10. Fuck you, random number generator.

But I digress, 1000/1000G; wasn't too bad, sans the miracles.

How do I get Xanthous King Jeremiah to appear in the painted world? wiki says he's in the spike/cage area to the right of all the phalanx mobs and to make him appear you have to kill the enemies in the general area, but I can't get him to appear. does the general area entail the whole zone?

Did you kill the boss of the Painted area yet? If you did, he won't appear. Also, you have to be in human form if you aren't.

This. This applies to all NPC Phantoms who invade you as well; if you've already killed the boss of that area, they won't invade in that playthrough.

Yeah is on that 'cliff' area to the right of the Phalanx, not in the building but in the 'snow' area outside it. I was POSITIVE I had actually already killed all the mobs AND the boss. So I ran back to bonfire, human'd myself and ran back over to kill those mobs again and he showed up. I also thought the wiki said you could kill the boss first.

EDIT: Ok actually you may all be right, maybe I had killed him first and then the boss but his armor didn't pop until I went back to bonfire and came back to the end where I fought the boss. Sorry.

Is there anything you have to do on your first play through? Just finished that crazy looking dragon in the depths, so got a ways to go, but paranoia is starting to set in because I'm not really using guides other than for specific problems.

There are things that are much EASIER to do on your first playthrough, depends on if you're trying to 100% the game.

I'd probably try to chop the tail off of Seathe on your 1st playthough.

does the soul s exploit help in 100%ing it or just makes it harder in terms of invasions?

Speaking of which I just finally chopped his tail off, had to start a new game to do it, because it just would not come off on NG+. I think it may be bugged ala Sunbro, idk. Either way, should get that trophy soon.

I would assume NG+7 is the hardest. NG+ just has the biggest jump in difficulty.

The higher runs are probably harder thanks to your damage not scaling all that much while enemies gain a shitton of life/damage
