"Thou seeketh soul power?...Then touch the demon inside me." definitely the best VA choice for maiden in black and I was hoping for a repeat since she was technically the strongest demon in DS1 (immortal, could put the old one to sleep etc.. that bitch was like mr popo from fucking DBZ)

Dark Souls Storyline Will Be Melancholy

Gamasutra has a feature on Dark Souls where associate producer Andrew Davis comments on the story. He says the spiritual sequel to Demon’s Souls will "definitely" have more of a melancholy feel to the story and respawning is part of the plot.



In Dark Souls, you play as a character cursed with immortality. Dying hollows your character, perhaps implying a loss of humanity. When you die you lose all of your souls, but like Demon’s Souls it is possible to reclaim them by progressing to where your character fell. Instead of a central location, characters respawn at bonfires, safe zones where players gather. Humanity itself is a core part of Dark Souls represented in your character’s appearance and as a parameter, but From Software has not said much about it.



From Software pushed the release of Dark Souls for PlayStation 3 in Japan back one week from September 15 to September 22. Namco Bandai will publish Dark Souls for PS3 and Xbox 360 in North America where it is still scheduled for October 5.

I just hope there is more story to this one. I could've used bit more lore in Demons Souls as the game was fascinating.

Played last night. Awesome stuff. Just as they said Bonfire = Nexus. rolling eseems more "clumsy" Its still good for getting out of the way but I felt more vulnerable going into and coming out of my rolls. The game is gorgeous, fucking gorgeous. The only quam I had was the same silly "catch on foot" rag doll physics for the dead are in the game. The menu is more sreamlined, its so much easier to re quip. I

Yeah strafe rolling is the only real safe roll. Forward roll if you're feeling ballsy and back rolling should pretty much never be done unless you feel like you have no other options.
