Not afaik, but it doesn't matter either way if you play hollowed.
You can't be invaded hollow wise, NPC or PC.
I know, but the NPC Dark Phantoms drop weapons that don't come from anywhere else in the game and they only spawn if you're human and have not beaten the boss yet. Either way, I've run through most all of the level so far as human (successfully killing some player phantoms), and there doesn't seem to be any.
There's an NPC that drops a unique rapier, but that's it. He's human so no need to be human yourself.
Trying to get the drake sword
followed this guide
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nK4sz6fcW_Q
Got 1 short bow and 30 'Giant Arrows'
but when i go to attack the tail it doesn't show me tthe target (the circle white)
All i get is my character that is trying to hit aimless
Kinda annoying
I just went FPP and manual aiming, I don't think you can actually taget big baddies.
Press L1/LB and R1/RB, that should bring up the aiming reticule.
Got it but not enough str to use it single hand go me![]()
My strength-build character rocks, onionbro suit with pig helmet, lightning large club+3 and grass crest shield +10. Looking to get a decent crossbow or just use a raw shortbow or something for closing distances. He's destroying anor londo atm.
Lightning Spear +5 and Eagle Shield +15 is just cheating... Holding block and just poking everything in Anor dead. At least the black knights shield bash makes it seem less cheap, it still doesnt help them lol
Did they change it from the way Demon's Souls worked? Two handing a bow (which is what you do if you aim via the sight/first person) the STR requirement is halved? Another option if you are feeling brave... cut his tail on the bridge with a sword. If you hang out in the alcove on the left side, opposite the stairway down on the right, and just run against the wall he will jump down eventually. If you sprint as SOON as he starts jumping down and hack his tail just as he lands ( if you run along the right wall you will get right to his tail) you can usually chop it off and then run under to the bonfire. It is a gamble, but kind of fun =P
Anyone around that can help me (preferebly 2 people since last night me + 1 random person failed quite a few times) fight Smough and Orstein or w/e. Need to kill Smough first as I killed Orstein first last game. This is in NG+ and I'm like lvl 80~
I've quickly run out of humanity.
I'm SL70 but I think that will be too low.
It's doable with just Sunbro around, you just need to zerg down Smough while Sunbro hopefully distracts Ornstein.
Getting right up into Smough's face and circling around will make most of his attacks whiff, and either way with a tower shield up you should be fine as long as you roll out of the way when he does the butt slam.
Once he's dead as long as you're patient Ornstein will be very simple. Stay at fairly long range, constantly sidestepping to avoid lightning bolts (and keep your shield up at all times to be safe). When he rushes forward and does the ankle stab followed by the upsweep, get an attack or two in and back off again. If/when he does the lightning butt slam, whip out Captain America and pop him twice.
As long as you take your time Uber Ornstein is a cakewalk compared to Uber Smough, solely because his long range options are much more limited and very avoidable.
Has anyone found or heard of a high traffic pvp area. Throwing dragon sign down in Anor Londo just after the spinning elevator is getting me a fight every 30 min or so but thats going to be a long road to 80 scales. Also I'm SL62 which I'm pretty sure is too low to help you out with Smoughstein.
The 'run/walk towards him' strat isn't working for you? Like you mentioned before, you just stick in between his legs. Keep moving towards him when he jumps away and keep your shield up and only attack when he's mid swing. When he does his lightning slam move, back up a little so he isn't landing on you and keep you shield up to take most of the lightning damage(Eagle Shield is what I used). He'll never land a direct hit this way as long as you keep your shield up.
