God damn it, I keep hearing how the Iaito has saved so many peoples lives with it's bleeding but that shit hasn't proced once for me on any boss that I used it on. Not even a normal mob with high HP(Yes, I +5 it).
Just completed my first playthrough. Took a break for a bit when I reached Tomb of Giants. Sat down, cleared it, along with the rest of the game. Badass final fight.
Got my Black Knight Halberd right on the last Black Knight too lol...
dont you have to hit consecutively for bleed to go off?
Mine never procs before my 3rd hit in a single combo for some reason
Because you're adding a fixed amount per hit and it decays over time
That would make sense.
Also - I just found out about Snuggly the Crow...
http://darksoulswiki.wikispaces.com/Snuggly
Blooming Purple Moss Clump = 2 Twinkling Titanite?! Dung Pie = Demon Titanite...
Shame you can't trade an item more than once thoughAnd a shame it cant be used for Titanite Slabs
Use Snuggly glitch with a little pizazz!
Edit: Nvmd... figured it out. I was reading some crappy guide online that was probably written the day after the game came out, getting shitty info from it.
Anyone know how to sort stuff using excel? Like say I want to sort column L from highest to lowest but I want each row to be locked. I kinda just put all 51 leg/feet armor pieces into a table, and will probably get around to the other slots later.
So I read that you can't leave the painted world until you clear it, I'm a level 46 spear using melee, should I be fine in there? Using Lightning spear +1 or fire spear +2 depending on what I'm fighting. I just don't wanna get stuck in there or something x.x
Edit: Also just got the black iron set, is that worth upgrading? I can wear the entire set, my weapon, shield, bow and still have a little burden left to spare @ 32 endurance (I guess I'll be going to 40 with the stamina cap)
I got my hard leather gauntlets to +8 and my elite knight body to +7, just wanna make sure I'm upgrading a keeper this time lol![]()
For the Darkwraith Covanent, do you need 30 victories from invading or can you just turn in humanity that you got from items/helping/etc?
That place is the most fun I've had in "endgame" so far. The snow theme is pretty cool. I don't see why you couldn't handle it.
Be sure to get all the treasures in there, so many souls hiding. I think I walked out with 90k+ plus 30k from the boss. That place is also excellent for farming souls if you have poison mist pyromancy.
I do have poison mist, and I just beat it after some difficulty with the crow demon things. I did like that place a lot, and yeah I think I will do some farming there since the undead minions give 150 each. What makes poison mist a biggie for farming there?
Well, once you unlock the shortcut to the bonfire, you can start the farming run from there. Kill the undead in front of the shortcut, equip poison mist and run to the blob-things with spears (their right side), and cast the spell (which should hit most of them, I usually miss only 1-2). Once that's done, I run to the door that you need the key from the sewers to open, and go all the way to the top where the 3-4 crows idle. Once there, I aggro them and run to the opposite side of that giant hole in the lower level. If I position myself right, the crows come to me, start the basic attack animation and fall down to their death. This takes like 20 secs. Sometimes they jump on me but that's rare.
Once that's done, I run back down, finish off the blobs that weren't poisoned and do it all again. It's maybe 7k souls a run without the extra soul ring?
I find it easier to get all 3 of the crow spots. I start by going left of the double door shortcut and run up to the top of the building, kill the 2 there. I then jump down and go through the double door shortcut and through the annex room and go down to where the ember was to kill the 2 that jump down there. (killing them high up often ends with them committing suicide and me losing their bodies. Then I drop off from there onto the spiral staircase and kill the 3 crows that come down the spiral staircase. Then just drop to the bottom and back to the bonfire. It's only like a 15second run back to the bonfire, seems like a waste of a homeward bone.
and yeah, looks like it's just back to farming crows again for me. last night, when I invaded for the covenant, I just kept getting the same guy who had a friend helping him slaughter people, and today I keep getting a guy who uses fog ring.
Thanks to the help of some strangers and their crystal ring shields, I (they) were able to beat O&S... now that I have the vessel thinger, is that the item needed to fight the last boss, and all other areas are optional?
And you have to go into the forest to kill Sif if you haven't yet. Otherwise you can't get to the boss in The Abyss in New Londo.
