I didn't ask, but thanks lol. I think I'm going to start a dagger only, no shield dex build now, actually. I have 4 characters over SL100 now -.-;
Anyone know which is the head gear that looks similar to the assassin's mask from demon's souls?

Tried getting my 10 reprisals the "real" way. Barely got to invade, and when I did, it was a cuntforce of 2-3 people waiting for me, with the summoner spamming estus. Fuck that. I've yet to farm the ravens on this character, and I hope the drop rate is more tolerable with 1.0.5, as I lack my pyromancy to easily slay them.

I liked being on the receiving end of Forest Covenant invasions. Most, if not all, fought "honorably". Bows, 1v1, and generally no healing on either of our part. The downtime could go on for awhile, but was a generally pleasant experience.

Tried being a Darkwraith, my first time, in Anor Londo, and holy hell, so much action. Back-to-back-to-back. Still have to deal with the occasional cuntforce every now and again - everyone heals, but I can put up with it with how often the invasions come.

Something odd: Instead of invading someone with the Red Eye Orb, I spawned as a white phantom in the usual invasion spot. Forcibly spawn in his game. Helped him with the boss on NG+. Heh.

Farming reprisals was the best part of the game for me. Did it in the first section of Demon Ruins before Firesage. At the time it was constant action, and a million chances to 1v3 people with help due to all the placing you can set up a lunging attack ambush.

On my resistance build, whenever I got invaded or did PvP I find that aggrevating people was not only more fun but effective too.

On Demon's Ruins, in the areas Celeras was talking about, if you go to where the Large Fire Ember is (for Fire ascension +10), you can get behind the two worms and still leave them alive. Then you can just sit in a corner near the edge with Fog Ring + any other ring that makes no aura and go AFK or watch. I was watching the guy run around for 10 minutes, before he finally just leaves with a butthurt mail. Its funny to me, at least.

People really do not check at all, because no one uses Fog Rings anymore since the patch. When I was trying to trade with Silentleroy in Anor Londo, I was hiding in Havel's equipment room, and I got invaded. So I put on Fog Ring and waited with my back to the wall to prevent backstab. Guy eventually comes in, he comes extremely close to me but I don't move and then he just turns the corner and checks around the other corners and leaves. I sat there forever making the guy look for me. Eventually I stopped hearing footprints, so I took one step to make some noise. He hears it and keeps searching, never finds me. Eventually I put on Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring and went and just surprise WotG him to death. Really funny.

Best use of Fog Ring I had was on the ceiling-beams in Anor Londo. How I actually caught him off guard still surprises me lol, Fireball to the face as he turned the first corner.

I just started playing this, and I'm having some issues with attacking. More often than I would like, I will press for an attack (R1 or R2) and nothing will happen. Usually, my attack will fire off up to 3 seconds later, which you could imagine spelling instant death to some enemies. I'm pretty sure my game is patched, but does anyone else experience this on the PS3 version? I'm pretty sure it isn't my stamina, and if it is something built into the game then I will feel pretty stupid. Whatever the massive delay is (only felt right after i rang the first bell) it is ruining the game for me :\

Axes, Shortsword, shouldn't really matter. I'm not talking swing speed, but more so the attack animation may not start until well after I press (or spammed) R1. Usually it is while blocking. It almost feels like online input lag.

If you spam the button, occasionally you'll fire another attack. They toned it down a bit, at least lessened the window, and it's only happened to me in instances where I panicked.

It's called action queuing. Occasionally, if you hit the attack button or cast a spell with the shield raised, it will execute once you let go of the shield button.

Just go to S&O on my dagger only playthrough w/o help and w/o shields and OHGODWHY.

I've started to use the target shield, but haven't used shield on any bosses, and use the target shield sparingly (mainly only for sen's fortress). Hardest boss was actually the bell gargoyles, thus far. Tried it 3 times then had to summon solaire to pretty much do it for me, and then I had to even use a pine resin. Just upgraded my bandit's knife to lightning +2, so we'll see how S&O goes I just don't look forward to doing it right now so I'm gonna take a break, lol. Hornet ring parry on silver knights does over 1k though, lol. Did boss fight for fun once, 32 per swing on ornstein FML. I plan on being on S&O for a while. Also, you CANNOT bleed the fucking iron golem, motherfucker took forever to do with 18 damage swings the entire time.

Edit: After 4th serious try, killed em. No shield, Ltng. Bandit's knife +2 onry. 4 pots (got hit before I entered) and 2 humanity. Takes a looooong time to make ornstein bleed. Two full stamina bars with 24 endurance. Now comes the bitchy part of the game... FML.

Having pretty much the same experience with my H2H run...Damn hard work! Just about try try O&S for the first time. Fire+8 Claw and Lightning+4 Caestus offhand.

Not sure what STR requirement is for Dragon Bone fist to out-damage Fire+10 claw, but at the moment it's terrible...(28 STR and currently at +3)

Yeah, I'm not sure when this shit will out damage a lightning bandit's knife +5. I think I'll do painted world next so I can get priscilla's dagger. I'm better with bare handed parrying than parrying with the parry knife -.- Also, 4 invasions (cracked eye orb) in New Londo, 2 parrys and two backstabs. Feelsgoodman.jpg

H2H in PvP is painful. Record of 1 win against 7 losses so far Can't parry at the best of times so trying in PvP just gets me stunlocked...

Edit: 0 in 6 against O&S so far :-/

So I'm at the part where I'm starting to farm slabs for trophies and fuuuuuck that shit. So much time wasted in crystal caves. I'm just going to do NG+. Anything I should do before NG+? I already killed a few people but I didn't want to make Anor Londo dark yet. I still have that last dungeon or whatever to do, was wondering if I missed any stuff.

Kill off all the NPC's still alive including all Blacksmiths. Also try to kindle as many bonfires as possible as this also carries over to NG+. Also try to farm the Kiln for a crap ton of * Titanite Chunks as these carry over to NG+ and will save you having to farm them up again.

Also try using the boss souls to upgrade as many boss weapons as possible so you can upgrade their partner in NG+ (E.G Queelag's Soul for Furysword in this playthrough then the same soul for Chaos Blade in NG+) as this will prevent having to go through another playthrough for the "Knights honour" trophy.

Edit: Forgot boss souls transfer to NG+ which makes the above irrelevant. Either way, still worth doing

To follow up, I've had the best luck invading as a Darkmoon Blade (SL50) in the Painted World. It's usually 1v1, and much more enjoyable than Anor Londo. Slightly related note: I got 3 ears just clearing the ravens for the loot they guarded, where I was lucky to get those in an hour pre-patch.

There was a guy I fought twice. He had no health bar, hit insanely hard, and parried my attacks for shits-and-giggles. Our second encounter, I riposte him once, back-stab him twice, and he wouldn't go down. He wore a Symbol of Avarice the whole time on top of Darkwraith armor. I want to yell misconduct, but meh.

Also, just got my Darkmoon and Sunlight talismans, but their of them seem to outdo Canvas at 30 faith. Anyone know when they become better?
