I don't know if this constitutes as a spoiler, since it's a gameplay mechanic, but after you get your Endurance high enough.Spoiler: show

I don't see how that is a bonus ha. I had heard that as well.
Here is part two of the IGN PRE-preview: http://ps3.ign.com/articles/119/1196184p1.html
I think she makes it sound worse if you aren't familiar with the style of game that this is...
Spoiler: show
Edit: I know it is Kotaku, but if anyone cares to read it here is another 'My first 24 hours in DS' article: http://kotaku.com/5842968/dark-souls...-hours-in-hell
At this point I have seen so much that I am just saying eff it to spoilers, but without spoiling anything for you... HOLY SHIT this game is huge, and HOLY SHIT there are about 6500 weapons, and HOLY SHIT the game just gets started after like 60 hours XD.
He's back at it
http://www.twitch.tv/vxds210
Stopped watching when he was failing against that dual sword boss. Seems like he's gotten better.
Spoiler: show
Oh God the boss he just died to... crazy shit.
So much crazy shit in this game. Again though, I have yet to see anyone invaded. It does seem like Marshall (vxds210) rarely has humanity (unlike Moruid who seems to have it most times) and I think you need to have Humanity to be invaded? I DUNNO!
I am not glued to my second screen so at least I am missing a lot, and I am muting whenever I hear NPC dialogue, but this is really going to be a stupid long 10 days, 12 hours and 19 minutes... err, yeah.
Online is down due to it locking up online. Supposed to be fixed next week.

Dark Souls Online Problems Will Be Fixed Next Week
From Software has issued an update regarding the issues the Japanese PlayStation 3 version of Dark Souls has been having since its release yesterday.
As reported earlier, the game has some freezing issues when playing online. From acknowledged the issues at the game's official site yesterday and said it was searching for the cause. In the meanwhile, it has suspended online service for the game.
Via its official Twitter today, From said that it has found the source of the bugs and is planning on releasing a patch to fix the problem. The patch will be released some time next week.
The Dark Souls official site has specifics (in Japanese) on the problems if you need more details.
never seen anything of the last game or this, but watching that stream.. game looks amazing.
fighting golem on invisible bridge lol. geeze
Lol...
Anyway, late?
Dark Souls releases tomorrow in Japan, and according to Japanese blog Esuteru, gamers with an early copy are in for a surprise.
In order to punish those who have the game early, From Software will take advantage of a feature that allows players to move into other worlds. The publisher has sent max-level Black Phantoms into the worlds of early gamers, confronting them with an enemy that's impossible to beat.

As shown in the photo, the Phantoms are level 145, with 1900 HP and every stat set to the maximum of 99. There's no word on if the enemies will be removed upon the game's official release.
Dark Souls will release in North America on October 4.
A few pages back, Jefe, yes =P Never got to see one in action sadly, most likely due to the freezing/online issues they had. I would love it if they randomly invaded worlds from time to time though, maybe with more reasonable stats.
ALSO wtf at the invisible floors, just got back from lunch. Craziness.
Did you see the awesome crystal armor?
Totally making a Taric with shield + hammer.
Is anyone watching this shit? It almost makes the game seem broken in that area.
Friggin invisible bridges freaks me out more then water levels and dark room with crying baby in Max Payne 2.
Don't watch right now if you don't want a boss spoiled. D:
holy fuck, wth is that thing
Don't watch Marshall's stream ever really... if you don't want spoilers. He is just cleaning up this game. Oh shiiiii another fog door.
Really, the more I watch the more I realize that the same strategy applies to all bosses.
That is : Stay out th' fuckin' way. A lot of the Monster Hunter mentality of "just hug it's left leg" too.
Spoiler: show
Tree boss seems retarded. he is dieing so fast that he doesn't even get a chance.. and been trying for like 30m+
OMG that was the best thing I have ever seen. FAT KNIGHT WINS!
Spoiler: show
after watching some of this stream, it seems like casters would be a huge disadvantage hp/def/shield wise. How do they do compared to melee?
