Yes, I think the hub gave it some more... consistency and obviously the open world concept will change things quite a bit, as mentioned above. Gotta find those bonfires, nothing is obvious anymore.

The game is so brutal, and I'm loving every minute of it.

Just beat the 2 Gargoyle bosses and ended up fighting the Moonlight Butterfly right after, didn't really know how to deal with it so I just ended up dying, heh.

I went with Wanderer and chose the Tiny Being's Ring as my Gift.
Right now I'm mostly focusing on Strength, Dexterity along with a little Endurance to help me with Equipment Burden.

You can send messages via the console system but theres no pause button on game nor can you join specific games if not mistaken is all random who you join

What exactly am I supposed to do after ringing the first bell? I've been at this point for about 3 hours now and I just don't understand what I'm supposed to do. I'm sure it's something obvious but I just can't seem to get it. >_<

Have you gone to forest yet, acess is next to blacksmith in the castle, or go back to the first bonfire think you can go to a skeleton area

The Skeleton area is a dead end as far as I'm aware, and the forest area has 3 areas, one with the Moon Butterfly boss, the other with that Hydra thing in the lake and the third being a locked door, although the Smith does have the key for said door, I really doubt that's where I need to go. Thank you though.

thats where i see ppl going to forest is just 1 big area killing hydra buttefly and wolfbro(Soul level 35), but there should be another area you can go explore the caste a bit more from the start of first bonfire not actualy following 100%

think ghosts is way later if you can kill hydra already more stuff opens up, there should also be wyverms close to hydra past the crystal dudes thats another area

I gotta say I'm glad I've managed to not be hyped in any way whatsoever about this game until this weekend. Dunno what happened (prolly because I preordered the damn thing) but suddenly these two weeks feel like an eternity.

And I was doing so well too. Sigh.
