Looks like it's just going to be a npc phantom that plays the same role as Yurt.

Yeah I am fairly certain that one of the Covenants kicks this little event off. I have heard about being 'invaded' by an NPC but hadn't seen it on a stream. This sounds like it.

Well that seems like ONE way to do it. I had assumed it would just be blocked like it was in MW2. Forcing you to quit the Party if you wanted to continue... but I guess they went another route lol.

Just pre-ordered the Future Press guide. It kind of sucks that the release/arrival date shows as October 17th though (at Gamestop). Seems very odd. I hope that date is wrong. FP's site and Amazon both say October 4th. Tekki WHHYYYY?

I agree. I really hope that Namco (SORRY ATLUS! NO MONEY FOR YOU!) sees a nice spike from this. I know that the NA release of Demon's Souls did wonders for Atlus. I doubt that 360 numbers are comparable to PS3, but anything is better than the nothing they got last time. Here's hoping for Demon's Souls 3: Death Souls. Now with flying.

Heya, sorry for the slow reply, was at a friend's house today.
Anything in particular you want details about? So far I've clocked about 30 hours into the game so there's plenty to talk about.
I will say that I'm really enjoying the game so far, it's a bit early for me to say, but if this level keeps up, I'd have to say that this beats the original IMO.

Oh no, just looking for any hands opinions I can get. The wait is destroying my mind. I am curious how the difficulty is for people that really spent time with Demon's Souls, things you like that may be new, different, improved, etc. Your opinion of the graphics (everything I see is just amazing looking, but they are streams... and all but one are not HD), anything you hate, and so on.

Definitely sounds like you are loving it and that is what I expect from most people that loved DS.

Well, about the difficulty, I'll be honest. I'm finding it to be a little easier than I thought, but that may be because I spent so much time with DS, some of the bosses I've fought so far have indeed been hard, but nothing that was too bad, although I will say that some areas of the game have hair-pulling difficulty simply because of the landscape/enemy placement.

it's nothing that makes you wanna rage-quit or anything like that, so it's definitely the good kind of difficulty.

One thing I really like about Dark Souls is the Estus Flask and Bonfire systems, I find the limited quanity of healing items adds some difficulty to the game, you can't just spam grass like you could in DS.

Graphics wise, it's just as you said, the enviroments and character models both look fantastic and it's a definite improvement over DS.

There's nothing I hate about the game so far, although the framerate drops in certain areas, it's nothing too serious, and it's usually cleared up after you kill an enemy or two.

Great to hear! All of it. When you say framerate dips, how noticeable are you finding them? As bad as rolling through a bunch of barrels in DS was? It is so hard for me to really gauge the difficulty in the streams I am watching because I have no idea how familiar any of them are (for the most part) with the gameplay. Some are clearly coming in cold as hell and have never played Demon's Souls so they don't lock on, they fall of cliffs, they get one shotted by bosses 10 times in a row... so yeah.

Favorite boss so far Silent? Most epic (god I hate that word but it fits here), WTF?!, facepalm moments so far?

I got FIFA 12 and Ico/SotC Collection in the mail today so at least I can pretend I don't know about Dark Souls until Weds...
