So what are most people buying this on? I went with PS3 because that's what Demon's Souls was on, will be more of them online I think.

went with PS3, with all the PS3 CE's sold and PS3 version tracking higher on gamefaqs, I'd assume PS3 will have a much higher player base, at least at start. Unsure if X360 will catch up after word of mouth gets around in that community

PS3 all the way. It wouldn't feel right to play Dark Souls on a 360 after playing Demon's Souls on a PS3.

Went with 360 cause I convinced a few of my friends to try it out...and all they have is 360. Otherwise, I would've bought it on PS3.

Yup, but figured I would paste it regardless. Who knows, maybe the link goes away or people don't feel like nabbing it =P I hadn't even considered if Live Gold was needed or not! I would assume so to play online.

I STILL am not sure what I want to start as. I am not really concerned with min/maxing or anything, and I am not even sure that the PVPing is really going to be as key this time around or that levels will be capped for that kind of thing. So it may not be as important this time around. Still, I am thinking Pyro is much like Royal to start with as that Fireball is pretty OP early on. But I love that Battle Axe too. Two days... two days. GDI.

Deprived technically has the highest overall stats at 88 total with the next highest being 86 and the lowest being 83 I think.

Not really sure why I shouldn't start as Pyromancer... they start at soul level one. They have pretty decent stats all around too. Just seems like a good base that you could go anywhere with.

PS3, starting Pyro. Haven't really been paying attention to the streams or info about the classes themselves, just liked the idea behind pyromancer. Trying not to spoil huge chunks of a game for myself for once.

I actually liked starting as thief for my first character on DS. I plan on doing the same for DkS.
