Agreed, but I have about 13 more hours to go and about 18 before I can play it, so it COULD be worse. I know if I go downtown to grab mine at midnight, I may as well just fire myself.

Hmm, so don't have any concrete confirmation but I am reading that co-op peer to peer is completely random, making it very unlikely and basically pure luck that you can play with a friend. If true, I get it, it is pretty much what From is all about when it comes to online play but it does kinda suck. I enjoy helping my friend out because I know he isn't an idiot... well ok, he is a partial idiot but that makes it better than if he were an idiot stranger.

I don't have a lot of faith in this though, not until I see some kind of confirmation. I am also reading that if someone is in your Friend List they won't see your summon sign no matter what. So who knows... it IS the Trolling Hour. Should know tomorrow. I am going to be sitting at work ignoring everything and trying not to open the Strat Guide.

It's true, it was mentioned in a few of the reviews. The whole point of the game is to make you feel lost, alone and helpless and that you're scraping your way through your own efforts. Hooking up with a bunch of friends and being on xbox live chat talking trash would kind of ruin that feeling.

I don't mind it at all, the fact that you didn't know who the white/red souls belonged to and that you only saw them briefly added to the atmosphere of the first game. It would be nice to PvP with friends, but it's not that big of a deal considering everything this type of online adds to the game

Absolutely. I think I said it a few pages back, I loved that about Demon's Souls. I loved doing it alone from start to end. My friend though, he will not be pleased by this... as he had a very very hard time with a lot of Demon's Souls and didn't pass a few levels until I helped him. He is gonna rage so hard.

4 deaths so far, last death made me lose some souls.

1st death, after you get taken to the city by the crow, I went past the 1st NPC and tried to fight the skeletons and died. then I went past the npc again, but a different way, ended up getting killed by the skeletons again after 1 fucking parried my ass. So then I went the opposite way and went way up the stairs. Made through awhile with no troubles until I went up some stairs and got ran over by a flaming ball then stabbed by the buy above. Tried making it back to that spot, but ended up dying to a lame firebomb.
