So... Someone invaded and killed my fire keeper at Firelink but I can't invade them with this black eye stone, guessing they have to be online or something. And then some item locations that I found super useful:

The lightning spear is in Londo. The chest is actually a mimic that drops it upon death. Do not get grabbed by it. The chest is kinda oddly placed in the middle of the room so you'll know what it is. There are a lot of different rings in Londo. You get two when you pass through a white fog and see the giants loading up the boulders. One is down past two knights and then one is all the way up in another tower. You have to kill a knight (Ricard) to get past him. He'll drop his rapier, and one chest will have the rare sacrifice ring, and one will have Divine somethingoranother. The first ring is a fire resistance (very useful for gauging the stupid boulder range...) and the other breaks the curse on you and keeps all you have but breaks on use... There are also other rings scattered throughout. Like if you make your way past the first boulder section, kill the cobra lady, and go behind her, you'll get a +50 physical defense ring. I think there are two other rings... One is after a walkway with the swinging axes and down a hole that's behind a serpent man. He'll be straight across from stairs with a cobra lady up them. Other is in the straight path.

The game will let you know when to use the Black Eye Stone . But if you wanna know exactly where...

It's in Anor Londo, the room right before the boss of the area. A message will pop up saying that the Black Eye Stone is vibrating. Use it in that room to invade the guy.

Same boat-ish, wish wiki wasn't so shitty. I know the Book of the Guilty is used for something else besides just listing peoples names, but damned if I can figure it out. Indict people for what, killing you? By using the item after they invade, or after you die? Can you invade from the book specifically rather than it just being random like Demon Souls?

All shit I can't wait to find out. Googlefu suggests the book may be used by some covenant to invade invaders, but its hard to get a simple answer for the functionality whilst avoiding spoilers.

Finally had a day off to mess with the game. Cleared the Dual Bellfry Gargoyles. Badfuckingass fight. So far I feel Dark Souls caries the same difficulty as Demon Souls, but in different ways. Some things are easier (Like being able to recover easily with bonfires) while other things feel more dynamically harder. (I feel like there is more of a variety of strategy in the mobs you fight instead of mostly the same thing.)

Fuck you ceaseless discharge. After about 30 tries figured out the sweet spot to hide. Takes a good 15-20min solo and precision

Farming Souls Via the Dragon so I can buy 99 Firebombs(Because I love, they've helped me so much), 99 Throwing Knives(In Blighttown these are a godsend), 600 Arrows, 200 Poison Arrows, 200 Fire Arrows, the keys at various Blacksmiths, and some other shit. Anyone know of a quicker farm spot? I see that forest one but I don't know where that forest is yet. Is it past the Hydra?

Did you use that narrow path near his starting point and slash at his tentacles after he slams them down? That's the only way I could do it.

Fuck yeah, summoned by the Forest Hunters Covenant and killed a player with another BP. Took like 45 minutes before I was summoned! Got a Blue Titanite Chunk from him.

Game is freaking awesome...punishing as shit, but awesome. Quick question, is the coop portion the same as Demon's Souls? Where you put up a soul sign, get summoned in, kill boss, get revived BUT the boss is still alive in your own world.

I'm using the dragon to farm souls. After about an hour of farming, I get 10k Souls when I run back to the Bonfire. I walk up to the bridge, and the dragon is gone.....what happened <_<

Player Black Phantoms cannot kill your NPCs!

Been mentioned a few times in this topic, but topic is hauling ass. Firelink Shrine NPC is killed by another NPC, it is part of a 'sidestory' I suppose. You can get revenge and bring her back to life.

Arelian tells you when/where a few posts back.

FYI, if you have a Fire Keeper Soul and want to upgrade your flask while she is gone Qualog's sister can do that for you also.

Made it through the 5-2 hell that is Blighttown. Before 'finishing' the level though I scoured everywhere, found a Fire Keeper Souls (woot +2 Flask!) and even found a nice shortcut back to Firelink. Killed the boss with the help of a NPC summon (that only minutes before invaded my game lol). Was badass. Maneater Mildred is my bro. She barely had a scratch on her after the fight.

You get an extra flask whenever someone kindles the last bonfire you used.
