It's not just the Midwest, the Northeast is getting pounded as well. The snow outside is currently higher then one of the windows in my apartment. There are schools in the state of CT that have had a total of 5 days of school for all of January.

2 week x-mas break in grade 8, returned for one day of school, then another two weeks off due to that storm.

B) Public schools in the state only get a week between christmas and new years.
C) When you combine the total amount of missed school it amounts to be about the same as yours, just clustered with 1-2 days of school each week often with early dismissal or delayed opening, versus just an entire 2 weeks off.

I woke up an hour before my alarm clock went off and looked outside, it looked like there was hardly any snow, I thought it wouldn't be a snow day. I went back to sleep for an hour. Woke up when my alarm went off, grabbed a shower, made breakfast, started eating cereal and logged into facebook for the hell of it. Everyone's status was saying "SNOW DAY!!!" and I cursed the skies in anger that I didn't check my university website before truly waking up...



Got a lot of school stuff done today that has been on the back burner, so its not a complete loss.

And today, with the ice receding, I taught a man the basics of drifting in a 5000lb RWD sedan. Alot of people out on the roads down here, but the rolling blackouts are fucking annoying.
