A few iPod Touch Questions

iPod Touch 32gig, and an Xplod car stereo. Manual says it recharges the iPod, but when I plug it in, it comes up with a little "This accessory does not support charging. Dismiss?" Am I missing something?

I downloaded the limerain and 4.1 firmware from this post but I had tried limerain just to see if it would work with 4.2.1 and now it won't revert to original 4.2.1 or, using shift-click, to 4.1. It just gives me an error code ("The iPod "Jackson's iPod" could not be restored. An unknown error occured (3194)"). Any suggestions?

Also, I have this Griffin car adapter for the iPod but it doesn't charge and doesn't broadcast. Is there some setting for these things?

I've got no ideas about your other hardware, but problems with restoring iPods might be caused by out-of-date iTunes software.

Is your ipod a first gen?

Does your car stereo, and car adaptor specifically say "Supports ipod touch/iphone3g etc...?"

Alot of old devices do not support the newer apple products. Had the same issue trying to use my iphone 2g car charger on my 3gs.

If you have not "signed your blobs" via tiny umbrella or cydia, then you will not be able to restore to any previous firmware.
