I'm pretty pleased with the patch. Now, we need some content to work towards. Bring on the Hamlet Defense and other stuff.

*please* tell me the neon blue text is changeable?
Someone said that was the same color they used for crafting too.
If not, there goes my ability to craft. At least my other colors could get muted.
(switching gear does it, leaving the wards does it, entering wards...)
Yea, can't stand it. logged back out after I sorted my inventory. Migraine trigger color be damned. I looked around in the config and don't see any way to change THAT color, but everything else can change?
/nevermind. friend said i should just shove everything into a new filter and hide it. Still don't get why it's so bright!
I would like to come back into the game tonight and play around with this. Is there any decent area a lvl 21/22 conjurer could solo if no parties are available?
UI scrolling seems improved. Some little performance tweaks as well. Patch kept me interested for about 5 minutes, then logged out again. But moving int he right direction.
Also 99 stacking is a godsend for cooks. I don't know what they were thinking handing out full stacks of 12 as leve rewards knowing that the stack limit was 12. Before patch half of my retainer was just stacks of carrots, onions, etc.
Same, did an exp party but still bored as shit
Hopefully he knows wtf he's doing (and that content is coming more rapidly from now on) since that could end up hurting them in the end.
Oh wait, that's what the fatigue is for. Hm, I guess this works for now.
I guess I gotta log in and try out the DoL stuff o=
Also, great to see they optimized player character graphics, next it'd be nice if he tackled the odd lag in the cities.
I took a bit of a break from the game for real life junk... just hopped back on because of this patch.
I just did a Rank-35 leve synth as Rank-32 Culinarian. I don't remember getting anywhere near this ~1000 skill from each synth... (not to mention 3500+ exp, which is useless for me) I don't recall seeing any adjustments to crafting skillups or this rank range.

Together with the changes to skill and experience point awards from combat based on enemy rank, the skill and experience points gained through gathering and synthesis activities have also been adjusted to better reflect gathering point grades and level of recipe difficulty respectively.
Further adjustments to the way these features function will be ongoing. We apologize for the late notice.
Addendum under the SP adjustments portion. I hope I'm just reading too much into it and this doesn't mean there's already a nerf incoming. Sounds like they're specifically addressing crafting/gathering but I don't know. This patch has gotten at least a couple of people in my LS playing again... but the consensus in LS after people made some leve link PTs was that this SP gain will probably get nerfed at some point. ><
I honestly wouldn't count on a nerf at this point. The last thing they are trying to do is scare people away from the game, while getting others to come back to it. Everything about this patch has been pretty positive and a good show of what might be to come. Bumping exp just means its on them to release content so people are just drone leveling all jobs.
It wouldn't surprise me if this is exactly what they intended with SP (making getting to 50 significantly easier), and because of the higher SP amounts we'll see far higher to-next-rank's at 51+. This achieves what people wanted but in a different way -- instead of making stuff (story quests, abilities) happen at lower levels, you reach them quicker by leveling quicker. While fatigue is still a moderate factor if you play only one class, I see this benefiting people who can play more and are doing multiple classes at the same time.
And on a more general note, I'm very encouraged by this patch and by Yoshi-P, and the direction the game seems to be going. Still need content (and I know that's to come) but I'm really left with the overwhelming feeling that Yoshi-P knows how to make this game better. I feel like he can look at it with the same critical eye that we do, and do things to improve the experience. I'm pretty sure I never heard anyone voicing mass complaints about auto-clearing chat logs, or the display of battle damage, yet those are two improvements to the game that seem to be met with overwhelming positive feedback. If we were to get 6 patches over 3 months of this same caliber, I'll be one extremely happy camper.
i agree except i hope we don't have to be campers to play this game
This fucking sucks. I don't want a game that begins at the fucking level cap. I want the journey, not the destination. I wonder how many hours it takes to grind per rank at this point 30+.
Hopefully they tone down the high-end soloing and make leves the ultimate source of solo SP (until you hit the leve cap that is).
I also hope this means they have content coming for all rank ranges so soon that they can implement it before the majority hits rank 50. Ranks 1-20 are now completely irrelevant if they weren't that before (although they still need more tutorials), but I'll be a sad fucking panda if they ignore 30-50.
Yeah they can still ignore the rank 50 players for the most part which I hope they do. It's not too late yet, but they gotta increase the pace.
"The game begins at rank 50/55/60/65/70/75 Hyan, stop being such an SE purist and wanting the road to level cap to mean something!"I feel SP is too fast now lol. I gained about 156k last night after patch, then did another 20k at 50 while someone else in the party got their 50. Everyone is going to be 50 within two weeks, I don't know if that's good or bad, especially with no real content.
Truthfully, though, that kinda gets said about every MMO eventually; I just wouldn't expect it from an MMO that launched less than 6 months ago, and especially one with little to no end-game content to speak of currently. I agree with you though; its never a good idea to welcome new players to a game with nothing but a grind for the next 40 miles.
Im afraid this major boost to crafting SP will cause way too many people to get to cap too fast now and it will destroy an already troubled economy. If you think nobody wants to buy stuff now, how about when everyone is at cap? If they keep it this way I am afraid they may have to raise the level cap soon, way faster than I anticipated before. Never know though, it could work out.
That does worry me a bit to, since if crafting is easier to level there should be some kind of counter to make sure the economy doesn't go to hell.
crafting will become null just like almost every other mmo out there, oh well
Wasn't it already null, what with all the bots and the shattered economy that meant that everyone already had every version of whatever items they were seeking? Seems a bit late to doomsay crafting.
Every other MMO nowdays has content that starts way before level cap I guess SE just has to be stubborn. I want more shit to do starting lvl 20 than just behest and grind and hope that at the end of the grind there is some content. If there was decent amount of content 20+ there would be shit more players around still and people wouldnt be bitching as much about glitches and other stuff.
