Without wading to wade too far into the mess this will most likely become, maybe that's because you could have been in the shell at different times? I mean, maybe my memory is fuzzy, but I'm fairly sure I only saw Tuna with an HM pearl after you put the little "retired" thing in your BG sig.

Anyway. I once did an Abyssea run that was mainly filled with people from HM. They was nice peoples and got me exp.

I had to look up the attendance spreadsheet to even remember when Tunafests was in the LS.. However I would say to Tunafest that if you had a problem during your 2 week stay in the LS (unsure if Neo kicked you or if you left on your own), then the best course of action would have been to bring it up to the leaders and/or talk about it on the LS site (which is always open to member's critiques). Necro-bumping a 3 month old recruitment thread to let everyone know (very ambiguously) that you had a negative experience, isn't the proper course of action.

That being said, if you received negative feedback in the short time that you were in the LS, it was most likely due to being un-prepared and/or not paying attention during LS events. The disclaimer to the LS application page is in bold red:


"Disclaimer: Before applying, note: If you have thin skin, a poor heart, or are generally sensitive to being called an inbred mouth breather when you do something stupid, this is not the home for you! So either don't be retarded, or have thick skin."

Neo generally gives most people that apply a chance (meeting minimum requirements), due to any poor applicants filtering themselves out via being kicked within the first week or leaving due to not meeting the standards and being called on it. Upon receiving a pearl, Neo and myself received a number of PMs warning us about your previous experience in other LSs, however we decided to give you a chance anyways.

Neither I nor Neo have any ill will towards you, and we're sorry you had a negative experience. We get a lot done and there is simply a minimum "no bullshit" line that a lot of people don't enjoy meeting.

Good luck with your FFXI career Tuna and I suggest you take the time to voice your concerns with the LS you're having problems with, before necro-bumping old threads to display your frustration to the world (2 months after you were kicked/left even).

As for HM recruitment status: HM recruitment is on hold until after the December update. We have a comfortable member base and will be tailoring the LS activities around the new content as it is released. I will update this thread if it becomes apparent we have any openings. Our current focus for the foreseeable future is Abyssea/Empyreans (finishing about 1 a week now), and interested applicants can still feel welcome to apply or send myself a PM if interested.
