You're in the shell so I assume you know already. Neo is nuts and clearly lets his RL issues seep into the game. Nobody should talk like that to people. I was never on the receiving end of it but it was uncomfortable to see that on a daily basis. They had about 6 people that had abused their point system, somehow racked up hundreds of abyssea points then changed the point system to 1 point per event, and use one of the shittiest lotting methods I've ever seen so that those 6 people got everything.

Why would I be butthurt? I was in the shell for a few weeks and left on my own. Never even bothered to use my points. I Just felt like putting a little disclaimer out there for people who might be looking at the shell.

Just because the ls did not cater to you specifically Tuna that's no reason to bash them, I may be new in HM but I've seen the ups and downs of it. Downside is your if your new you have no points... OMG REALLY, NEW CONCEPT?! Of course there will be people with more points than you you fucktard they have probablly been in the ls a shit ton longer than you, so stop living in your "What can ffxi do for Tuna world that you seem to be living in and move to the "What can I do for FFXI" world that the majority of us play in.

Well, at least there is something to address now:

We've changed the points system for abyssea 3 times since implementing it, however each of these times was actually to help out newer members and prevent them from being left behind, not to provide an edge to older members. We are fortunate enough to have several members that are very skilled and dedicated, and thus spend a lot of their time helping farming sets for the LS (and for themselves obviously). Due to this, several older members did have pretty high points. Even such, they earned them, and I'm not exactly sure how a person that shows up their first LS event can be upset when someone that has been farming the zone for weeks lots over them (especially when those persons farmed the sets..).

That being said, even with those people earning their points, the system was still reworked at the request of newer members, to allow less of a point advantage, hence the shift to lower point gains, which effected everyone (more specifically the older members). There was also put in place a point cap to prevent over-inflation, and several ways for newer members to help out and earn bonus points.

In fact, every single time that a member posted on the site about their perceived problem with points/lotting (whether an old or new member), Neo/I have reviewed the rules and modified them to be more fair. However, as in any game or RL event, the people that put the most work and effort into achieving their goals will achieve their goals faster.

Had you taken the time to bring these issues up on the site, you would have had them addressed and (if there was a problem) fixed. Pleasing everyone all the time is impossible, but we do our best to listen to members (we're just a group of friends after all).

Neo isnt crazy; he was a drill sergeant, then army commander for 10 years, so he has a very direct communication style. When he says "how do you fucking feed yourself you retarded fuck", he actually means "Hey Tuna, do me a favor and bring RR next time ok?". Thus the ls disclaimer. Some people can put up with this and others cannot, it is a personal choice. He has been my husband for 7 years and he values hard work and people who are prepared for events both with research/knowledge and generally being prepared with items such as RR. These are minimum requirements for all events to make the game more fun for everyone.

As for the thread, I will update it if/when we determine we need specific jobs based on the next update. (Though if a killer whm is out there looking for a shell, look us up, so I can come another job more often..).
