im not saying that at all, what im saying is, when presented with 2 options, one of which will work, and the other "may" work, they choose poorly and their son died, yes its sad for their family, BUT, that was the choice they made

think of it like this,

you are out in the woods, you encounter a bear (OH NOES), you have 2 choices:
a. pick up your gun, off the bear, walk home
b. pray that god makes the bear go away

now, in this scenario, if you choose prayer, you have no one to blame but yourself

now imagine the exact same scenario, except someone else is making your choice for you


this child was given no choice, his parents made that choice for him, i know they didnt want him to die, i get that, but they did not do what was necessary to keep him alive, he died because of their negligence, now im not saying that they should be stoned in a public forum, but probation, thats a joke, what i see in that decision is "ok, you had one child die, but its ok, we dont think you will do it again"

Clearly, otherwise this thread would be about "LOL RELIGION FAGS, HAVE FUN GETTING RAPED IN TEH ASS FOR KILLING YOUR KID". I'm saying in actuality you can't come up for a logical reason for why they got this sentence. Hmmm, I think I actually am a fan of faith-healing, in fact, I think if you are big into religion, you should ONLY pursue this method of treatment. Doing otherwise is to spit in the face of your lord.

With time, the problem will resolve itself.

To be fair, the kid had a bad cold. Most of you are painting this as the parents were either ignorant or did not care about their child, which clearly isn't the case as they were praying for his cure. It's one thing not to understand or grasp their religious views and quite another to paint them as murderers. If any of you can somehow prove these children actually mean more to you than they do to the parents I will stand corrected.

I think that parents should be able to raise their kids however they want. If they want jesus to heal them then let them do it. I really don't understand what the big deal is.
