I'd have thrown the disc out the window but I was borrowing it from someone. I swear I boxed it up and drove it back to him immediately just so that I would be able to resist the urge to destroy it. If I had to keep seeing it around the house I'd have had to buy him a new copy.

I was borrowing my brothers ps2 playing ffxii owning noobs in my non linear environment when my brother made me give it back so he could finish persona 3. I had never played the game so I figured that was a legitimate request but after reading this thread I am so peeved at my brother.

That said, the amount of reading involved doesn't matter so much to me when it's not boring but I've yet to find that in an anime-inspired game.
But honestly, that's why why I play video games so it's generally a minus point simply because of the medium.
