Graphics card problems

I believe this is time to upgrade...it would appear. I'm using an Nvidia 8800GT GeForce card, that I've had since '08, and I believe it's finally reaching its end. My monitor would sometimes go matrix on me and crash/restart after a graphical problem shows up and it fucks me over when I'm playing a game.

I have been looking around for a new card but I'm not exactly sure where to start. Newegg has some nice prices but I'm not sure which card(s) to look for.

I'm using a prebuilt dell XPS 630i desktop that I got in '08. The warranty has long since expired.

This or a GTX 560.. btw I realize you've got an 8800GT now but before you upgrade check the wattage rating on your power supply. I'm guessing it might be 500W to satisfy your current graphics card but you want to be certain it can power up to something newer.

just replaced a 285 with a 560 recently and have to say for $260 it is quite impressive.

630I's back in '08 are all 750W, and I checked mine, so I'm good on that part. I don't plan on buying the card right away but getting a good estimate on what to upgrade will be good.

I've never bought a graphics card before so dealing with different numbers is a little much.
