prolly retarded/posted elsewhere, but what ws gorget /belt do you use for victory smite?
Think I had gotten a mule to Pots BC in CoP a few years ago. Only just realized this after seeing that Pots BC question come up in this thread. My SAM is quite gimpy (i.e. no Fudo) so I don't know if I could do SAM/WAR + WHM. I can tribox though, with the following job combinations:
1st char: MNK (Verethragna), SAM (lol85 amano), NIN THF WAR BLM RDM (the latter five I don't see being ideal)
2nd char: WHM BRD BLM
3rd char: BLM RDM
I don't remember how hard the mission was (cleared it several years ago on my main character and I seem to recall they somehow made CoP easier? Maybe I'm just remembering incorrectly) but would MNK + WHM + BLM or RDM/BLM be able to kill the pots fast enough, with the two mages taking turns with ES Sleepga (killing BLM pots then RDM pots)?
Then for Promathia, what would be good for that out of the combination? Walk in the park (i.e. MNK WHM RDM), all healers (RDM WHM RDM), chain-stun + hundred fists (MNK/WAR + WHM/BLM + RDM/BLM)...not sure about this either! Thanks
I duoed the pots BC with a friend at 75, BLM + SCH using sleepga and wiping. You'll have no trouble.
I duoed Promathia with RDM and BLM so you should be good.
Anyone got a compehensive list of the best atmas to use with WS like Aeolian Edge, Cataclysm, and Flash Nova while brewing?
Flash Nova
Holy Mountain
Beyond
Atma of the Sellsword
More TP dosn´t improve damage and even a "MINOR" Elemental Attack seems to outdo MAB.
Aeolian Edge
Gales
Smiting Blow
ultimate (?)
Cataclysm
Cosmos
Smiting Blow
Griffin Claw
Maybe I missed something somewhere, feel free to correct
If you are correct my understanding would be that VS would then be able to make Light with any WS that has only Fragmentation properties, i.e. VS>Black Halo or Black Halo>VS. Since I'm pretty sure this is not the case I deduce that the Light property of VS allows it to self-SC Light and continue a Light SC, but that having the Light property does not mean that it also has Fusion properties which would allow for the use of Flame gorgets/belts.
Basically, Light properties are not cumulative results of Fragmentation and Fusion properties, but a separate term.
Rukenshin tested it years ago for relic WS, only the lv2 properties gorgets would boost dmg on Kaiten and Light Gorget added nothing. I doubt SE changed the rules for Emp weaponskills considering they have the same properties as relic weaponskills, self light and all.
I don't know how this level of confusion can exist. Fusion is a level 2 skillchain property. It has nothing to do with the subject, at all. Vsmite has the properties "light" and "fragmentation". The logical choices here are that either all of those elements work for gorgets, or that only the level 2 elements work. If only the level 2 works, then a light gorget does not work, only thunder and air. If level 3 properties work, then light, fire, thunder and air all work, because all of them are in the level 3 "light" skillchain.
My last sentence sums up my point. L3 Light appears to be an independent property. My bringing up Fusion was an attempt to expound on that. The L3 Light property doesn't mean Wind, Light (element), Thunder and Fire all work, nor does it mean that Fusion and Fragmentation automatically work.
Again, fusion has nothing at all to do with it. Stop thinking about fusion, it is in no way related to the discussion. The level 3 light skillchain is light, fire, thunder and air. Suggesting that thunder, air and light work, but fire does not makes no sense. Either the level 3 property counts for gorgets, in which case light and fire gorgets work, or it does not, in which case light gorget doesn't. The idea that a level 3 light property only adds the same gorget as the level 1 transfixion property doesn't make any sense. Light != transfixion.
