Returning player here, I purchased visions of aby for the moment but not the other 2 yet.
I'm mainly interested in leveling to 90 from 75 atm, what should I expect when looking for group?
Do people mainly only level in abys now? How many travs stones should I have when I look for a group?
Do I need the other 2 mini expansions yet or only at 80 and 85.
I just dont wanna look like a complete noob when back in the day I played this game religiously.
Also, anyone on Alexander have a LS they'd be willing to let me join?

Get all three expansions, you'll do all of your leveling in abyssea. Most exp PT's are in heroes zones now due to dominion ops, should only need a few stones.

For Rani Brew as long as I ready my ele WS after the cast animation of the spell i wont get screwed and it'll absorb, or does that absorb phase last a bit longer after the spellcast?

how do people deal with nightmare from Maere if you can't stun it? mages outside pt don't get drawn in?

Why would you pop a brew before blue is proc'd? Nice that you got it, but it seems a little risky if Rani decides to screw the blue !! guy over with TP moves/spells.

Easily, yes. Stun acid mist -- the paralyze aura is better than getting hit when your shadows drop. He hits pretty hard even at 90.
And be ready to zone Shoggoth a lot.

It has en-poison 100-300/tic so make a macro for antidote. (I wouldn't risk healing poison with healing waltz)

Almost all levelling takes place in Abyssea now, but xp outside of Abyssea has gone up some as well. I would buy all 3 Abyssea expansions. Not sure how much you know about Abyssea but essentially you can build up and store 120mins of time inside Abyssea and carry up to 5 stones. For an xp party I'd make sure you have at least 75 mins of time inside the zone for a party. A stone = a minimum of 30mins.

I soloed on mnk/war with DD atmas and I suggest the same for WAR. Fast kill is much better then 20 tic Regen and evasion. Just take /sam and prepare 300% tp sekka on start. Turn retaliation on and zerg using meds.

I'm sure it's been asked before, but I'm going to ask anyway. Just came back to the game after taking a break in Sept. last year. I leveled a few jobs to 80 at the time, but didn't do much else with the new content. Now that I'm back I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with the amount of content and I'm not really sure where to begin. I had "decent"-ish gear for 75 when I left, but it seems that most of it has been surpassed by newer gear. So, after getting my jobs to 90, where should I begin? I have PLD SAM DRG DRK THF and COR at 75+. Are there many things I can solo while looking for a linkshell? For a more specific question, can COR solo Chukwa? I have movement speed gear and a decent Quick Draw set. I read something about triggering weaknesses...something about if I pull it between a certain time and use a certain WS it will up the drop rate? Whats the rate on the collar from him like? 10% after the trigger?

First off, don't panic. I had a friend come back under the exact same circumstance. Pick 2 jobs to focus on and xp them to 90. Aurore/Perle will see you through for a short while. Take a look at the Empyrean AF+1 sets and work out which quests/nms to go for for the key pieces for your two chosen jobs. Join any shout groups you see for boss and atma kills. You can get 2 atma with one boss win and 100k cruor. Look for shouts for Razed Ruin/Gnarled Horn/Voracious Violet and any shouts for Caturae kills.

Just don't panic. If you're feeling super keen, check out the trial of the magians weapons for whichever jobs you focus on.

Few question about Odin fight (Einherjar).

Gagnrath: Is terror add effect to damage? Will shield block prevent from it?
Geirrothr: What kind of damage is that physical or magical? Will PDT or MDT help? If it's physical then sentinel and invincible should work?
