Mandragoras; just have someone with Phalanx pull and you're fine. If/When Mandragoras are taken by people doing an exp alliance my group fell back to Coeurls which were also decent. With the right Atmas (Ultimate, Cosmos, Smiting Blow) and Asectic's Tonic, you'll yield roughly 1600-2400 Cataclysms.

I would say this isn't a good camp, since Iratham roams there and you almost run into it every other pull. Bats are better IMO, just use earth crusher instead of cata and problem solved.

Anything else easily obtainable? (No that Loki is hard, gonna get it pretty soon, but meanwhile?...)

Inside Abyssea atmas are standard RR, GH, AoA if that matters (because Crit hit rate from Iga+2).

Shoes are ~100% (read at least one report of no drop, but could be stupid people having one etc) gloves are blue.

Just be sure to actually have your highest TH on before you get a proc message. If you forget to put TH gear back on before engaging a new target (like me, darnit!) and get a proc message, adding TH gear after the proc message won't change anything, the next proc will be only +1 the previous one, even if you added +2 or +3 in gear. Once you get a proc message, it's locked, and you can only raise it by getting more procs.

Incorrect. If you engage without any TH equipment on (TH3) then get a proc (TH4) then equip 3 pieces of TH+ gear you will be at TH6 and the next level up proc will be to TH7.
The reason you want to get it all in before the first proc is not because that's where it starts the leveling up chain, but because it essentially wastes a level up proc. In the above example, had you equipped it before the first lvl up message, after the 2nd proc you would be at TH8.

Nope >.< Isn't there like some NPC or something that tells you? I know I last entered around this time 3 days ago, but idk for sure and don't wanna set up a run just to be told to wait a few hours.

Is what I always figured would be how it worked. But why do people always ask "Is XYZ the blue drop?" suggesting that only one drop is affected by blue !! ?

Edit: Found answer to my above question: can chec any trail marking (without glass) and it'll tell you if you cant enter yet.

Would capped MDT set and barfira be enough to survive suzaku's chainspell on Thf/Nin + Whm/Something? I could 3box a rdm for CS stun or ES silence aswell but 3boxing really kills my computer.

This would give you roughly +57 dex to cover you against most mobs atm. Obviously if you knew the stats on the mobs you could swap gear around for more att/agi/str pieces. Provided that its enough dex(as it should be) it should be doing roughly aswell as an attack setup would.

If you can sac using MKE for your nin for w/e reasons or dont have a Maat's cap, then the next best thing would be a Vara helm , but the -20 acc might hurt you on any new content that *may* come out so Aias Bonnet would be the next best thing after those first 2.

Obviously what you fight or plan on fighting outside of abyssea will change the outcome of your overall build.

duh! I just remembered I had a Denali Jacket buried in the Porter Moogle :D. I guess I'll use it 'til I get my Lokis (this week, hopefully!)

blue drop = drop that's obviously not intended to be obtained without blue because fuck killing 55 khalamaris or whatever tsuko had to do

blue !! seems to be a straight +50% to everything besides af3/empy mats.. the only exception i can think of is shinryu and that's because knife/scythe and helm/mail/cloak are shared slots

If the WHM/something is WHM/BLM just have them do the ES bind/silence (honestly don't remember if he's immune to bind), failing that flee around in MDT gear/barfire and you should avoid most of it (don't forget AF shoes).

Only issue with relying on flee I think would be being unable to cure yourself while zipping around if you're not particularly apt at dual boxing.
