Hm, I was originally told that barring relic/emp Kila+2 would be best mainhand, and twilight would be top sub. I'll improve thf anyway I can since I pretty much dual box everything thf + whm then just call for LS help once I build sets. The thf mule is 5/5 eaf+2, eponas, etc. with full merits generally using RR/GH/Apoc. You said "work towards something more useful...triplus is a good start" so are you saying that triplus would be the best subhand or would another dex kila+2 be the best?

I was told you can dat swap out the conflux/tele/etc but someone who did this complained they were a shitload harder to find because he swapped them to something small. Maybe if you swap them to faf?

Swap the Teleport crystal / conflux / updraft to a chest. Thats what I did, and fuck I need to find the information on which dats they are again because I need to do it on my laptop.

A group im watching is tanking orthus from behind. There any particular reason for this? Their gear/killspeed doesn't exactly inspire confidence in them but im about to pop some orthus too for the first time so might as well find out if it's a halfway good idea.

Only thing I can think of is maybe it forces Scorching Lash so it doesn't do GoH or Acheron Flames? But that's not really in any way needed, Orthrus is a wimp.

When tanking Orthrus on it's tail, we found that it still had access to GoH/Acheron Flames. I guess the advantage is that it opens up Scorching Lash as a potential WS, thus lessening the chance of GoH/Acheron. But this is only a small advantage imo. For me, the bigger advantage was not having to run circles around Orthrus for TH procs with SA/TA. :3

Also, I changed my conflux dats to the Seed Crystal dat from ACP final BC. It's suitably shiny, is about the same size as a real conflux, but doesn't lag the hell out of me like confluxes do.

I asked someone and they said the advantage was no triple attacks. I've fought Orth, but I don't recall personally.

Is there any effective way to gold box farm trigs for Apademak/Alfard/Orthrus in a zone with maxed out light potency? I find that we get next to no boxes with 0 amber and then when we amber 1 mob they're all big gold most runs.

I got rid of conflux/maw lag by changing drivers.

You could also maybe try the elemental protocrystals (the things you click on to enter the avatar fights), as well as what Soda mentioned.

So I am trying to figure out how to do Glavoid as a duo (possible dualboxing a blm to make it three). The biggest issue I have is that when I get near the sandworm area, I start getting low FPS. If this is an issue with smaller sandowrms,I am sure it will be an issue with glavoid. Is there any way I can dat swap the sandworms? If there which dat am I looking for?

Innin + Orthrus back tanking = 95% critical hit rate. That's why we back tank it, at least. The Scorching Lash thing is a minor bonus.
