Today I picked a fight with a mimic inside abyssea-tahrongi and it told me that it was weak to H2H (blue stagger). Has anyone tried staggering one? Probably a really silly question but its made me really curious lol

Just don't grellow stagger the mimics in scars zones. They always draw-in > comet when their spell timer is up, and well, if they can't cast they just spam draw-in. Three full pages of expanded chat log later, we were finally able to move and kill it.

Yes, its why Catacleaving is best done with a Pluto's Staff (or Yama's if you're on a mage job).

If you don't get hit, it won't take your buffs.

This is similar to when you need to land Kurayami:NI as MNK/NIN. Swap to the correct HQ Staff and pop Ascetics Drink. This will usually bring it up to aruond a 33% chance to land it per cast. Capping the skills of your subjob helps a lot also.

Atma of the Merciless Matriarch or Atma of the Ultimate if you have it. Even with capped stats /BRD, using the HQ staff and a bunch of other magic acc gear that I have, the land rate can be very difficult on some NMs. A useful trick is to cast if your getting resists on the primary target is to cast the threnody that is opposite. Often times certain mobs have a specific resistance and this can push you just over the top.

Lotta times it seems to pop on top of the mountain.

I've seen people fighting it a lot near the "backdoor" to Percy. I don't know off the top of my head which conflux that is, but it's NOT the one where you have to run past whiro. It pops you out on the side of the mountain into a non-agro area.

T1 and T2 from what I've pbserved pop on top of the mountain, drop off the side at #3 then wander through to coeurls (big miasma can block you here) and when they've passed the Maahes ??? generally move north towards Wherwetrice pop spot. I'm not 100% on how they roam from there to in with antlions on the west side but if you are camping VNMs as soon as they pop conflux 3 is the place to grab them.

More importantly, do we really have any numbers on how much exactly critical evasion is lowered from Feather Step? What would be the process to test the amount of critical hit rate it grants to PCs meleeing the target?
