I think 350 is a fair assumption for xp level mobs, but I tend to think we are not as acc/atk capped as we would like to think, particularly on t2-t3 Heroes NMs.
edit: Our old friends Greater Colibri had 327 def at lv 82 and were rdm/rdm mobs. ~350 wouldn't be unreasonable for non NM mobs, maybe a tad bit higher.
People did it in a variety of ways, but I thought they eventually decided lolibri were RDM/BLU mobs.
You can test the DEF using RNG.
You can test the AGI using DEX and reading crit hit rate.
You can test the VIT using STR gear and fSTR.
You can test the Eva using any job and Acc gear.
You can test the INT using BLM.
You can test if it has MP using Aspir.
You can test the job traits by looking at it long enough.
They just add these things up and see what job combination matches up.

just a quick note on this... that iron giant can get pretty nasty below 30%ish. he gains a tp move that causes weakness (i think he can use it whenever, but never seen it above 50%), and he can do that super annoying thing where his head disconnects from his body, which you then have to take to 10%ish before it rejoins the body (which after doing the first time, he can do every 90 seconds or so). so if you can, try and figure out the weakness early, without proc'ing it (i find rock crusher works particularly nicely when i'm on mnk), and then, if you get lucky and it's something easy like earth or ice, then start trying to proc red around 30%, and you should be able to take it down w/ a 2hr or two before it unterrors.
So thinking of coming back and playing after quitting about a month before the level cap was raised beyond 75. What can I expect with the new changes and will I be SOL on gear and whatnot because I'm behind everyone else or what?(think like getting COP done after it was out for 2 years).
I play RDM(75+merits) and MNK(which is like 72), which should I focus on?
MNK because no one uses Rdms if they can help it (I'd still keep it leveled under the asusmption it becomes more useful in the future). Just get levels, buy basic cruor sets, get lunar abyssites, work on Atma/Af3+1/2 sets and you should catch up fairly quickly (you might have to build sets for certain atmas i.e. Razed ruins since I see few shouts for it these days, despite every time I go to an alliance 80% of the people in it still don't have it...).
I have the same issue the previous poster did. I deleted the resources.xml and the .ver many times previously. I did it again. created a text document. copy/pasted info. when the file is loaded the xml everything is fine. It says feb 2011.
However, when I go into the game and load a plugin. it automatically reverts back to the 2008 version which I made sure to delete on my system! I even downloaded the fixes.xml and put it in the plugins folder.
Did the previous poster get his fixed? I couldnt lol
start with mnk but keep both up (wont take long anyway). finding some old friends to get 2-3 important atma like RR GH and MM first. then upgrade your stones and you'll catch up quick enough. there's bound to be people that still need things from all the zones (since leveling a new job doesn't take very long or much effort).
Thats another thing I wanted to ask, is leveling new jobs still a pain-in-the-ass untill art urgahn(sp) then gets better but still slow till abyssea? Or can you go to the new areas at like level 20? I have a job or 2 I always wanted to play but never leveled and really don't want to take months to level say paladin because everyone wants ninjas and my play times are not always prime party time.
If you are willing to put together Abyssea parties, you can start as low as level 30. You can buy keys and such. If you have no crour, might have to have someone else open boxes with you until you get enough.
is spellcast crashing anyone else? I've never had issues with my rdm spellcast ever before, but for some reason today it's crashing my pol every time I try to cast a spell. nothing has changed in my rdm gear or the .xml in weeks. :/
