Is it possible to order a security token through my Square Enix account without having my PlayOnline ID active? I can't seem to get it to work.
I am waiting on my notarized letter to be received by SE so that I can start playing again.
They wouldn't let me log into my account because I got hacked six months ago and whoever hacked it changed all the info, including the credit card.
I used the notarized form to lock it up then, and then didn't log in to change the info for fear I would get hacked again (it happened three times, long story, no security tokens were available then)
So after about two years of Scythe of Trials sitting in my safe on the account a friend gave me, I decided to pull it out and finish the quest. After knocking the latent off I went to turn it in only for the guy to try and give me the quest. Checked the current quest log and it's not flagged. How did he even get the scythe without flagging the quest <_<?
Also, since I have the fucking thing finished, I assume my only recourse at this point is to drop it and start over?
All I can think of is that he gave up at the NPC and didn't tell you, but didn't toss the scythe. And since it's rare, seems like all you can do is drop it...
Stupid question, but couldn't find it in search and couldn't think of good search terms.
How do non-abyssea tier2 VNM respawn timers work? Killing Shoggoth for Emp axe path. Popped, killed, then moved to next zone. Got LL (the other tier2) in all 3 of the other zones. Otherwiki is unclear about whether there is a 1 hour cooldown for each 'type' of tier2. Do I need to wait an hour between deaths? I was under the impression I could kill in one zone, then move to another for a 50/50 chance at Shoggoth. Maybe we just had shit luck?
While I'm on the subject, if LL pops and I zone, does it reset to 50/50 chance of Shoggoth popping next time? Just trying to figure out the fastest way to kill Shoggoth and only Shoggoth.
Thanks.
Really? Our experiences differ, then. I don't TP in my Vereth if we still need to proc things, unless I'm fighting one of the few NMs that can actually survive long enough this way. I'll start with Staff, Club, Sword, or Polearm to get Red/Blue out of the way if we need them. VV does definitely come out ahead of GH, by a margin determined mainly by other buffs, in a constantly-swinging scenario. The things you have to compare then are the increase in Counters and Subtle Blow to the disengaged Regain. Personally, I find more of my time in Abyssea is spent running than fighting, and being able to start fights with Level 3 Aftermath (or opening with a Red ws at 100TP) more than makes up for the damage difference in counters in my opinion. If I'm TP'ing in Vereth, I'm WS'ing at 100TP-150TP (depending on how anal my friends are about Ruby that day). If we still need procs, I'm helping with those or just toning down damage by using a weaker weapon instead of TP'ing in my Vereth w/o WS'ing.
And I never said Harvester was worthwhile. Apoc easily trumps it. I just saw what could be the misguided reasoning behind it.
Each zone has both tier 2 nms up at once. So if you can use radar (easy way) or guess and die until you find the one you're looking for in each of the 4 zones. It's 1 hour per respawn per zone, usually by the time you find the other three zones' nms the first will be back up again.
For each of the zones (N Gustaberg+Pashow), there are two TierII NMs (Shoggoth+Lamprey). So, it looks like this:
N Gustaberg (Present): Shog/Lamp
N Gustaberg (Past): Shog/Lamp
Pashow (Present): Shog/Lamp
Pashow (Past): Shog/Lamp
Each spawn is INDEPENDENT of one another, so if you defeat Shoggoth in Pashow (Present), you still have 3 other Shoggoths to defeat. Each Shoggoth is on its own respawn timer. The respawn is 1hr.
Thanks very much guys. Haven't used apradar in years, but will download again. That didn't even occur to me.
I don't participate in the KI NM fights most of the time. I solo kill the mobs around for time while they do that, so when it comes to the NMs I fight, it's really only going to be something that needs blue or grellow.
I'll go war if I'm expected to participate in red !!
You can download mappy which is basically the same thing at the windower forums. (Though since the last update mine is acting weird and showing dead/hidden mobs all the time. It's still usable for finding VNMs though.)
Just downloaded and installed 2.0, but it doesn't seem to show VNMs unless it's some weird setting I don't understand. Is there some trick to it? Or should it just show up as a regular mob on the radar?
*Edit sorry should have mentioned I am using the unlocked 2.0, and still don't see the VNMs.
**2nd edit- derp, you'd have thought I might have tried clicking something called "Show All." Answered my own questions. AFK eating more paint chips.
Asking for a DRG friend...
26% haste, 4% DA, 6 hit build... or 21% haste, 5 hit build?
The former I imagine (Previous posts equated 5-hit build with 3% Haste) and 4%DA should only favor that build even more. I'm curious as to what he is wearing since the best DRG builds usually entail 25% haste.
Shit's situational, etc; depends how much other haste you have from other sources, but in general the 5-hit should win. Also depends pretty heavily on your TP:WS split, which I'm not too familiar with for DRG. Basically, under unrealistically ideal circumstances (the 46/1024ths you gain put you exactly at the 80% cap), that build still comes up slightly short in WS speed, but would probably barely edge out from the extra TP phase damage.
So, if you've got a BRD marching you and you have hastes (and /sam hasso), it'll probably come out about even, so side with 6-hit if it's a lower defense target and you're doing good melee damage, 5-hit if it's more defensive and your WSes are outweighing your TP phase. Any less haste and 5-hit should win regardless.
