Never paid much attention to them since I got back, but should I be using the gorget-like WS belts? As in are they the best item for WS's in that particular slot?
Asking just for thf and war pretty much.

I'm heading to work shortly, but I was plan to test was to do this
nynja: hold 1 mob, any...
kehhiko: mnk/sam, cosmos/ultimate, sekka cata, conflux away, add on griffin claw, sekka cata again, see damage increase.
no flaws there, right? Mob will be the same, there shouldn't be any damage reduction from elemental nerf?
In the time it takes you to conflux away and back, there will certainly be no effect from the elemental nerf. Are you just confirming it's 20% though, or trying to see how it interacts with the WS damage hat? 20% is 20% regardless of when it is multiplied.
It could stack with something maybe and make it not a marginal 20%.
Yeah, but then it would make sense to do the test with Jinpu or Spirits Within on SAM.
1) Hold a monster that isn't wind resistant on Player A
2) Player 2 uses Jinpu from the back without Griffon's Claw, MKE hat, or anything (trying to keep damage low).
3) Player 2 confluxes and puts on Griffon's claw, comes back and Jinpus again from the back
4) Player 2 puts on Griffon's claw, Jinpus from the front
5) Player 2 puts on Griffon's claw, Jinpus from the front with the MKE hat
There, you could see if it stacks with overwhelm or the MKE hat. The only other source of WS damage I can think of is Restraint, and good luck controlling for that.
Mmm so the Assailer Chariot (Discoid) is cock blocking our 6-man to farm up some raja sets to mess with. This is the first time we've done it with 6, first was larger amount of people for Raja kill etc.
I've been told mnk + whm can do it, I've heard of dnc + whatever. Can not figure out how these groups are dealing with discoid when it hits hard. What am I doin wrong on this thing?
I was wondering what does the thf af3 enhance accomplice and collaborator, etc do? anyone know thanks!
I can't speak to nin, tho most of mine for mnk carries over -
Twilight torque (-5%) Avalon breastplate (-5%) merman ring x2 (-8%) merman earring x2 (-4%) colossus mantle (-2/3%), lore slops (-1%. Augmented w/cure cast -6% for my rdm. Not ideal since - enmity). I'm looking to get denali hands ( -2%) to replace them. Caps mdt with shell 5. Lieutenant's sash can make up 2% that you'll lose from no lore and breastplate on nin. Other folks will be able to give more insight on nin.
-cure spellcasting time, cap at 25% or 50% ?
thxs
If you feel like being sadistic, "Dropping the Bomb" quest gives augmented Versa Breeches. Has PDT -1% on it by default, can get -1-2% MDT augment. Good luck getting the quest guy to accept your powder keg, though. I lost track of how many I turned in before I was successful.
*editted* nvm
Sam Spirits probably the best
Just turn when Migawari isn't up and it's not even hard. NIN + WHM is fine.
Doing some low-level leveling(Currently 45), what would be the fastest way to get to 75 other than leeching an abyssea party? I've read that Dom Ops isn't bad but there is a reduced xp for people below 75.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this.
Basically, my FFXI looks like this now:

Wtf happened? The only changes I've made to my computer was updating to the latest version of Adobe Acrobat, which I did earlier today. Can anyone help?
And people dubbed me the 'village idiot'...short of using revitalizers (no im not wasting my OSHIT revitalizers for this) / building lights to get ISL chests laying around, how do you sekka twice "in the time it takes you to conflux away and back"?
I opted for cata because its straight up magical damage, and with very minimal work, you can get high numbers.Originally Posted by Atma
Though I also noticed on the drive home I'd have to do 4 WS's:
1-no gear, no griffin claw Cata
2-no gear, GC atma (notice % increase)
3-gear, no GC atma
4-gear, GC atma (check if % increase is the same)
Fortunately, since its magic damage, there's no chance of variance, short of it being light/darks day or any resists, and they will stand out. Fuck yeah no need for sample size.
